IMO....

I think it's gonna be the end of either Ramsdale or Raya.

one will have to be the first choice, and the other will have to make do with cup games.

Personally, i felt Ramsdale did well at the first half of the season, drop slightly at the end of the season, so i wondering if this is legoheads idea to push him that little bit harder to perform.

I do feel for Raya, i don't see him being first choice unless Ramsdale makes a couple of mistakes. i think his place in the Spain squad might be gone.
It's a shit show of a situation for them. No idea why they would keep Ramsdale and buy Raya.

The ironic thing is I think everybody has come out a loser in this situation....Brentford ended up selling for less than they could've got, Arsenal now have a ticking time bomb of a mess on their hands, Spurs have missed out on thier first choice keeper, Raya is going into a bad situation. It's not even ideal for Vicario coming to a new league and having that added scrutiny on him. Brentford really fvcked it up.

Big opportunity for him at Madrid...

then again... I am old enough to remember they lost all the senior team goalkeepers and had to call on a certain young lad called Casillas.

But if were Raya... i would be getting my agents to see if Ancelotti is interested.

They’re signing Kepa on loan mate

The Raya saga continues, signing new deal at Brentford then loaned to Arsenal and some people think we shouldn't welcome Paratici back after dubious transfers.

I have to admit I don't see how you got to that conclusion?

This 'Raya saga' to me seems like Brentford thought they had a stronger position than they did.

Brilliant piece of business by the Goons. What a pity we couldn't get it over the line.
Is it though? I see it as a very strange bit of business from them that has the potential to unsettle their number 1. Ok so they will have a very good reserve keeper - big deal? It's hardly something to get worried about!

Is it though? this will just cause unhappiness in one of the two keepers for no real reason hopefully it spreads throughout their squad w@@nkers

I would just like to see Paratici back properly , I know he is there in the background but like to see him back, seems he is a proper football man unlike Levy.

A lot of these loan deals like Raya are just circumventing FFP , nothing illegal but creative accounting.

I doubt they care much what Ramsdale thinks...

Lets not forget they had Leno - who was probably better than Ramsdale, but still brought in Ramsdale a couple of seasons ago.

And, was Arteta at City, when Pep unceremoniously dumped Hart? No room for sentiment or feelings.

If they think Raya is better - he will be starting, and Ramsdale will be playing in domestic cups.

Ok but honestly what's the big deal here? Is Raya better than Ramsdale? That is debatable, if he is it really is not by much. Ok so they 'maybe' have improved their GK position but only by a slim margin. Remind me why this is a big deal?

Isn't this also Brentford were asking for 40mil and kept saying that but no-one pursued it so they caved in.

Like I get wanting Paratici back full term but I feel like the Raya deal isn't the one that links to him.
