I dont really know. I rather see our club moving forward. And really give everything to make it as far as possible, then keeping players that have played for us during a long while, but dont keep up with the standards. The team is more important than some players. But i agree that we have been missing that leader, last one was the KING and there is no player that have been possible to fill those huge boots.

I hope he goes to Hull. It would feel like supporting us seeing him, Livermore and T-hUdDz on the same team.

And on the hyporcritical nature of us shooing Dawson out the door whilst crying because Bale, Berbatov, Modric, etc left us.. Aren't football fans the ultimate champions of hypocrisy anyway?

Bale, Berbatov and Modric were and are game changers, Dawson ain't and never will be

Looks like he's off. The guy's been a good servant, an important factor in our progression as a club, and is one of the few who has always seemed to care, but it's the right time. He's on the decline now and even his best traits aren't what they used to be. I'll only ever think fondly of him though, a real Spurs man and someone who not only persisted in fighting for his place even when he fell out of favour, but always fought for the team.

I will be genuinely sad the day Dawson departs. A fantastic servant and deserves all the best from us. He may not be the greatest player we have had, but his passion, leadership and determination is second to none for me.

I won't be sad about Dawson leaving. He has passion, which is nice, but doesn't make up for lack of talent.

when I say lack of talent, I mean at hte highest levels that Spurs should demand, of course he has talent playing in the prem league, but there is better available.

Good luck to him though.

This is a crucial step forward for us.

Cheers for the guts and commitment throughout the years, Daws, and good luck.

I'm guessing he'll be back doing something or other for us when he retires anyway, so this needn't be a final farewell for you sentimental lot.:)

Good deal for us but thanks for all you've done for the club, Daws!

Now get rid of Lennon too, Daniel.

Looks like this is happening.

Great servant for the Club and should be remembered fondly by the fans.

Personally I'll miss him. True gentleman and a real example to younger players in terms of how to conduct yourself professionally.

Yes he wasn't the most cultured of defenders but he's still served the Club with distinction.

Good luck to him - if he leaves that is!

Hull are turning into a mini Spurs!

We saw last night in algeria versus germany for nearly 100 minutes the value of having guts n passion at centre back.... Dawson was never cultured and I would guess never pretended to be, but I would have rather he had been in brazil for england this summer rather than the clowns we had. If he is going It makes THFC weaker as a club, probably not as a first eleven, but as a club....... shame if it happens,
