So, if that were true, why is he going for £4-5M as a British HG player? If he were perceived to be that valuable, you would think his price would be higher, no?

It would seem that most people, whose jobs depend on these type of evaluations, do not rate him as highly.

I think the more important people to judge Dawson's ability are Jol, Harry, AVB and Sherwood. They all played him almost every single game.

id love to keep dawson to use as a squad player, you dont often find players of his level of professionalism (is that a word?)
top bloke who genuniely loves this club, will be sad to see him go.
he falls just short of 10 years with the club but would really like him to get a testimonial, the guy deserves it.

Love you daws.

Sky Sports: Hull have agreed a fee in principle with Spurs for Michael Dawson. There is a stumbling block. Dawson wan't a longer contract than he's been offered.

@thinktank come on mate, please stop. You don't need to take every opportunity to have a dig at him. We all know he doesn't suit how we play anymore but there's no reason for you to continually take the piss.

He's right and any spurs fan that wants to keep him just because hes been here a while are mad.... Dawson is pony and hes well below the standard we need to push on... Fair play to him for being loyal ect...

Can't wait to see him playing for our b team next season. Bye Dawson

So the coaches who all got sacked rated him highly years ago. Got it.

You don't think very much before posting do you...

Name me a coach who hasn't been sacked and I'll tell you that they are under 45 years old with less than 3 jobs and then give you a list of 100 who have.

What an absolutely irrelevant point.

@thinktank I'll bet you're bewildered why modern footballers don't give a shit about the shirt, it's mostly because of you and all of the customers like you. Us fans like Dawson.

Don't be a customer, it's embarrassing.

Christ, is Michael Dawson a divisive figure. This last page is a shambles.

Personally, I don't want him to go but if he wants starts/more stability on the contract it's not a huge loss - I'm not sure if he's one of Poch's CBs anyways. Still, though, it's not the end of the world if we lose or keep him either way. Let's get a grip.

I dont think anybody in favour of Dawson would be heartbroken if he left, I just don't like the personal attacks on one of our most long serving players and club captain.

I think most of us agree daws best days are behind him and would be best for everyone if he left but show the guy some respect he gave his all for the club over a long period of time and deserves better than " fuck off " and joy about him leaving by so called spurs fans

No wonder the atmosphere at The Lane has been so quiet, when our Club Captain is getting pushed out of the door by so many "fans".

Why on earth is a player going to show loyalty, if the fans don't. Support the Club and the bloody players.

Unfortunately a lot of people don't support Spurs, they support Lamela, Eriksen, Lloris and Ricardo Rodriguez.

I'm on the side that wants him to stay. I don't think he is as bad as people are making out.

Can I also remind everyone that our views mean shit in the bigger picture.

If you want him to stay or go it won't make a jot of difference to if he stays or goes.
