13 of our 14 clean sheets last season were with Dawson in the starting 11.Would be interesting to see a stat that tell us how many clean sheets we have kept with Daws in the side.....
Don't really want him to go.

So, if that were true, why is he going for £4-5M as a British HG player? If he were perceived to be that valuable, you would think his price would be higher, no?
It would seem that most people, whose jobs depend on these type of evaluations, do not rate him as highly.
Sky Sports: Hull have agreed a fee in principle with Spurs for Michael Dawson. There is a stumbling block. Dawson wan't a longer contract than he's been offered.
So the coaches who all got sacked rated him highly years ago. Got it.I think the more important people to judge Dawson's ability are Jol, Harry, AVB and Sherwood. They all played him almost every single game.
Dawson is great at what he does if tactics aremodified to suit him, just like mertesacker and terrynot involved.
@thinktank come on mate, please stop. You don't need to take every opportunity to have a dig at him. We all know he doesn't suit how we play anymore but there's no reason for you to continually take the piss.

Bloody hell. He's right and any spurs fan that wants to keep him just because hes been here a while are mad.... Dawson is pony and hes well below the standard we need to push on... Fair play to him for being loyal ect...
Can't wait to see him playing for our b team next season. Bye Dawson
Bloody hell.
Of course, I'm just so desperate to get positive rep, otherwise I'll die.Is every message you post just to get a rating??
Christ, is Michael Dawson a divisive figure. This last page is a shambles.
Personally, I don't want him to go but if he wants starts/more stability on the contract it's not a huge loss - I'm not sure if he's one of Poch's CBs anyways. Still, though, it's not the end of the world if we lose or keep him either way. Let's get a grip.
I dont think anybody in favour of Dawson would be heartbroken if he left, I just don't like the personal attacks on one of our most long serving players and club captain.
No wonder the atmosphere at The Lane has been so quiet, when our Club Captain is getting pushed out of the door by so many "fans".
Why on earth is a player going to show loyalty, if the fans don't. Support the Club and the bloody players.
