The biggest loss for Kane and England has been Welbeck. His presence on the left in place of Sterling would have made a huge difference. That factor and Alli being stuck in central midfield in order to accommodate Rooney's lethargy meant Kane's natural inclinations to roam being greatly restricted. He was confined to playing within the box, totally dependent on the service of others (which did not come). It's not like he did badly with the ball, it's just that he hardly received it! Imo that's less Kane's fault than the system he's playing in.
Frankly I'm just a bit annoyed over how he's now made the scapegoat for Hodgson's shitty tactics and obsession with shoehorning in Rooney. Vardy and Sturridge have had such an advantage over him by having each other on the field (and now Rashford too!). Allow Kane the same measure of support and you would see a different player. His chances for the rest for the rest of the tournament will probably be limited now though. Quite frustrating.

I don't understand how Roy can mishandle a player so badly.
I am not even speaking from a rose tinted perspective here but Kane is clearly the best striker England have and yet he will probably leave this tournament having done nothing because Roy is too stupid to play to his strengths.
If Kane was playing right now with the players we have on the pitch currently I think we would be winning this already.
Kane is going to be the whipping boy for Woy's incompetence.

absolutely gutted for him.. but let's just hope he has a good recharge after this tournament and perform on fire for us next season again.. he definitely has that in his belly.. and Poch can manage well..

Sadly you are. From poor free kicks, poor corners he has not been good in the 1 1/2 games he's played. No one is saying he's a bad player it's just not working for him this tournament as yet.

First of all he should have never been on corners in the first place, same with free kicks, he should be in the box.
How can you expect to play well as a striker when you are surrounded by players who don't know how to get the ball to you?
