One thing we cannot afford is wholesale changes.

New manager will come in and maybe one or two will go (pending any players demanding to go Lloris, Verts) won't see many new faces as really our squad doesn't need it.

just need a manager the players believe in and for those players to play to their potential.

Every time that rose is injured (read loads of games) and every time kaboul is injured (read pretty much all the games) it completely screws up our back line. I can think of countless games where teams have exploited this and hammered us. I can't see how you can't see this?

When was the last time you looked at our team sheet before a match and thought the back line looked solid?

We have Iago Falque doing fairly well in La Liga, could he not be a viable wing option? Holtby and Carroll coming back in the middle. Got Pritchard and a host of youth on the fringes. Anyone remember Ryan Fredericks' cameo in December? Our youth players are really close, at least for rotation. Sherwood knows this. Think we can stick with what we have and shed maybe Capoue (if injury concerns are true), Naughton and bring in Ricardo Rodriguez.

As a luxury extra, I'd like us to bring in Alexandre Lacazette.

Most managers would say that a settled back 4 is crucial to success, as you say this season 2 of the back 4 positions have been very unstable.
It certainly can't have helped that we've constantly had to chop and change LB and LCB all season.

I'm not saying we won't need a new LB & CB, i said we won't sign 'many' players.

we can all agree we need a new LB and have done all season, can't account for injuries if Kaboul was fully fit and Dawson, Vlad too we wouldn't be crying out for another CB.

I don't get your confidence that we won't sign many players?

Our current manager is saying everyone could be sold. If we get a new manager he would most likely bring in some of his own wishes...

are most of the players people are selling under 2/3 year long contracts, so their value would be more, I can see verts alone going for 20 million plus to CL side

What I think we'll do:

Sell

Sigurdsson - 7m
Lennon - 8m
Dawson - 5m
Holtby - 8m
Capoue - 10m

Total: 38m

Buy
Daley Blind - 10m (LB/DM)
Konoplyanka - 15m
CB - 10m

Total: 35m

Bring Carroll and Pritchard into the squad, also.

Would love to see Blind playing for us, but is he not more LB/CB

Nope. Not sure he's ever played at CB.

He is a regular in midfield now for Ajax, previously (and still occasionally) playing at LB.

He plays at LB for the Dutch National Team.
