cheers for the stats chrissi :)

good ole QPR eh - and leeds doing well too-

of course as people have said only 7 of us have stayed the prem course

we are part of the 'magnificent 7' of the prem years

but yes we've conceded too many in that time

on the whole our success over the years has been based on attacking football not defensive solidity - and when you look at games like Everton Chelsea last night - that's not all bad :)

I've seen on the 606 boards many an everton fan tell us what good football the Toffees play

well maybe they do - but whenever I watch them i ain't so sure :)

admittedly it's quite often v CFC (as in that dire performance by EFC at Goodison in the Carling) so maybe that affects them :)

Interesting stats chrissi and sim, good efforts.

I see we're 11th and 12th in both lists and in the top third as well, consistent eh. !!!!

Stalteri and Lee were part of our best defence since the Prem began.

Suck on that haterz!

SPOT ON

They played week in week out along with Carrick/JJ/Davids & TT all players that work hard in winning the ball back, spotting danger and intercepting.

That season we conceded less goals than about 90% of all our other seasons in football league history.

I agree as well DC, still not sure what Lee has done wrong?

Also, I'd like to mention a certain Edgar Davids, we need that type of player bought in the summer. One of my favourite recent memories at the lane was after we'd scored and Edgar didn't get involved in all the back slapping, he just started bollocking people and telling them to stay switched on, top man.

Totally agree, we need a Davids-type leader on the pitch if we are to mount a serious European challenge next season.
