Apparently he's scored three goals in three games. He's missed the last two games through injury.

On fire, then injured with same hamstrings problem he had in the winter with us.

One of my sons asked how Jermain Defoe was doing in the US so I said I’d have a look and when checking out the details, thought I’d post it on here too. I can't see any exisiting threads from the last few weeks so thought I'd created this as can then be used for further updates as and when I/we check again as to how he's progressing (y)

Out of a possible 8 games (7 league & 1 cup), looks like JD has played 5 and scored 4 and has an assist. Looking through the match reports for the games he played in, and missed, it would appear the 3 he missed were due to injury and they were the 3rd/4th & 5th games of the season!

The Toronto FC site is pretty easy to understand but also show all match highlights which I think is a nice touch and often wish THFC did the same so for anyone interested, this is the link to their fixtures and results: http://www.torontofc.ca/schedule

Glad he's getting some game time and scoring again so hope it continues to go well for him and hope he's fit to play in the pre-season game versus us in the summer.

Even though I'm not his biggest fan and he's playing MLS he should have gone to the World Cup ahead of Welbeck.

Not bad, no. In the games i've watched Toronto are not great at getting service to him either.

It's the MLS and MLS is missing some of its better players right now who are with their respective national teams. It's bottom half of the championship level to begin with. Right now its like league 1/league 2 quality. If Defoe wasnt getting goals, it would be embarrasing no matter the type of service.

Its a complete joke and an absolute travesty that MLS does not abide by FIFA dates. Should be taking a 1.5 month break for the WC instead of playing matches of absolute terrible quality that does not show what the MLS is truly like.
