Yes he goes down easily and certainly isn't shy of looking for contact, but like Bale before, the media have reduced his likelihood of getting a penalty to minimal.
Clear penalties against West Ham, United and now Palace have all been waved away.
Vardy is the absolute master of the 'kick the ball away and fall over' penalty, but when he does it, its clever forward play.
There are a lot of things I'd want Alli to never change, but for the next 5/6 games I'd tell him as much as he can, because it will be instinct a lot of the time, to stay on his feet.
Refs shouldn't be hesitant as the retrospective bans will vindicate them if they are tricked, but unfortunately his reputation (and seemingly us as a club now) precedes him
To paraphrase a F365 article this morning, he's effectively losing the benefit of the doubt now, and I'm afraid it's a problem of his own making. He's wasteful in the final third and sets himself to draw fouls. It's not how I like to see the game played, and it frustrates me. Sorry.
Neg rep away.

I think he has done 1 blatant inexcusable dive this season and that was against liverpool
Dont rembember any others that were so blatant
Haven't watched back but to me just seemed like was off balance and going down was inevitable once keeper came out. Pretty sure he didn't even appeal for a pen either.
Condemned for diving by two ex-pros on MOTD 2 that dived themselves. How do they do it and keep a straight face?
From a 2015 article about Jose defending Cesc from Shearer diving claim:At least Alli never deliberately kicked someone in the face, eh...
Saw Ref Watch on SSN earlier talking about that incident (didn't bother to mention the two - three according to Souness - penalties we should have been given) and actually it reminded me a lot of the penalty Chelsea were given in the semi final last season. In both cases a player goes to ground to try and intercept the ball, and the attackers - Moses and Alli - expect there to be contact and go to ground. Neither should have been a penalty, although there was at least contact between Hennessey and Alli, Moses just flew through the air.
Compare the media reactions to both incidents. Shearer was doing that game, and the final where Moses was sent off for diving, and MotD2 last night. He was adamant that the penalty against Son was correctly awarded because Son shouldn't go to ground like that and doing so vindicates Moses diving, yet he called him a cheat for doing the same thing in the final v Arsenal. When Alli does it he's a cheat. Make your mind up.
Seem to recall the only pundit calling out Moses for diving in the semi final was Waddle. The reaction from the rest of the media was almost unanimous in blaming Son and calling it a penalty. Yet now they all line up to call Alli a cheat. But there's definitely no kind of agenda or lemming mentality among pundits.
