The Spurs midfielder endured an inconsistent season throughout 2020/21 but appears to be raring to go under his new boss ahead of pre-season.

For those who don't want to click the link. The message is a picture of him on Instagram with his shirt off, lifting weights.

Should start with a clean slate like everybody else and then use pre-season to get himself noticed for the right reasons. He can still be a big part of this team if he puts his mind to it.

Great, so now we have to pay off Nuno due to sexual harassment in the workplace.

Actions speak louder than words / muscly pics.
While this is true, I don’t think Alli was trying to send a message.

He was simply sharing a picture of himself on Instagram, as those youngsters do, and a newspaper made a false narrative out of it.

He really needs to learn to keep possession.
May sound controversial but I think it’s the opposite. Trying to become a more complete player by playing it safe / keeping possession is exactly the reason he started declining.

Dele adds an element of chaos and creativity that catches defences out but when he has too much time he over thinks and tries to play the sensible predictable ball.

Yes he loses possession quite a lot but it’s becaue he’s trying something exciting rather than allowing the defence to get back into shape again.

Agree. He was the guy who played in the final third and got goals and assists.

Once he started trying to be a complete midfielder he started to struggle as his weaknesses were highlighted.

I’d happily see him just go back to playing in the final third and concentrate on getting goals and assists.

….and run, and get his head up and pass, and shoot, and up his work rate….
For someone who needs to work on his shooting he has a fantastic goals scored record. 1 in 3 I think it is, at least thats what Jamie Redkanpp said not long ago. Dele scores and creates goals. Thats his strongest area.

Yes, part of the Dembele effect. When Dembele left, Dele was tasked with picking up some of his ball carrying duties in the middle third. This change in his role, plus injuries, are likely more responsible for his decline than anything else.

I get why people are down on Dele, but it can only be a good thing that he is training in his break. last summer it was a lads jolly up in Ibiza.

To be honest he was at his best when Kane was out and Son was not starting regularly.

Theres a reason why he scores 20 odd goals when those two are out. The obvious one being we played better as a team especially in the final third.

Perhaps Dele would be better off by concentrating on impressing the manager with his performances on the training pitch rather than trying to do so on social media with pictures and videos. This is a pivotal season for him in which he has to decide whether he wishes to be a fully committed Premier League footballer or a potential candidate for Love Island.
I know he had a bit of a rough deal from Mourinho but his standards have definitely slipped over the past few seasons. Let's hope he grabs this opportunity to impress and returns to his old self.

Are you kidding. He scores headers. He cannot shoot. In fact he turns down shots constantly. You may be remembering with rose tinted spectacles. He needs to start shooting when the opportunity arises. He gets in enough good positions around the edge of the box.
