I think he's got a lot of potential, and would be very happy to have him here. Rather him than Mahrez.

Gray is a potential at 21 who may or may not make it. For all the talk of how good he is & he can be, he has scored 1 PL goal in 1000+ min in PL & the 1 goal in Championship in nearly 2000min previous year

You would pick him ahead of 2015/16 player of the season Mahrez ? Seriously ???

Mahrez was said to have had a average last season - even then he got 6 goals & 4 assist in PL and 4 goals & 2 assist in CL...

Until, Gray does something of note, Mahrez over Gray all day long.

Depends on the fee for me, he's not proven but could be worth a punt if he's under £15m

All about hopeful crosses and shots from distance every time I've seen him. Suggests that he has a mountain to climb in terms of movement and understanding of the game. Could be that he'll be a cracking player, but would struggle immensely to get minutes here.

Very talented player but has clearly not kicked on since his move. It may have been difficult to get into a winning team but last season you have to wonder why he never made an impact? That being said he has bags of potential and for 10 million or lower is well worth a punt.

Him over Mahrez? You are having a laugh. Mahrez is a genuine match winner. He also puts more of a shift.

Potential potential potential

Fuck that, get me a player who'll make a difference now. There's only so much potential we can have. Who's the one signing that did well last season that we signed last summer. That's right, Wanyama. Not Janssen or GNK. We need more of Wanyama level signing not someone like Grey. Mahrez is that. Not Grey.

Yeah, I would pick him above Mahrez. I don't think Mahrez fits our style at all, and I genuinely don't think he's as good as made out to be. He's had one great season, he's got a bit of an attitude problem, and is lazy. He'd also cost an absolute fortune.

If you are talking about his price , I am with you.He is not in our range.
But if you say Gray is a better footballer than Mahrez , sorry I have to disagree. Gray has done zero, absolute nothing till date whether it's championship or PL. Mahrez has won the player of the season & won all important title. If Gray has potential to be better than Mahrez (even for a fluky season) I have not seen it. Neither have anyone .

I would rather have Knockeart than Gray.

I didn't say Gray is a better footballer, I said he's a better fit for us than Mahrez.

I think lots have people have seen that Gray has a lot of potential. He might never have a more productive season than Mahrez did two years ago, but then I doubt Mahrez ever will either, and I'm not sure we not him to. Plus neither in our side would be given the freedom to play like Mahrez did that season.

You do also know that Gray also won that all important title right?

Mahrez had a bad season in a season where Leicester were shite, manager sacked. But he still scored & assisted , including CL.
Even in Mahrez "bad" season Gray couldn't measure up.
I am not for Mahrez to Spurs as I have already said when an ITK came. But am not for Gray either.
For a winger, he has to create, assist & score. Gray does none of it.

Gray did as much as or less say in 15/16 PL as Inler or Wasilewski did.

Neither Gray or Mahrez should be signing for Spurs.
We are building a world class stadium and he is going to a bench with neither of these two on it?

Id be more in favor of Nathan Redmond

The potential is there for all to see and I think he's got more chance of improving on that under Pochettino than being managed by that hamster faced backstabber he's currently playing under.

Mahrez has done nothing in his career apart from having one purple patch in a crazy season when everybody in his team had the season of their lives. Since then he has returned to form and is a lazy git to boot. I would hate to see him at Spurs. Gray I'm not very excited about at all however he is young, has some talent and you would think Poch could bring him on a bit. I wouldn't be delighted about his signing but I'd be a damn sight happier with it than I would with us signing Mahrez.

Whenever I see him with the ball in his feet, he reminds me about a teenager on a flipper machine, banging on the side of the machine erratically and purposelessly, trying to hit that ball to a place, any place at all, and then hope something comes out of it.

I really struggle to be excited about this. He may have potential and may Poch may be able to do something with him, but if he can't get game time at Leicester I can't see how he will get it here for a while. As @spursfan77 says if we should buy someone, then it should be someone that can make a difference now. I would actually rather give GKN a chance instead of buying Gray.
