The City revelations are nothing no one with half a brain didn’t already know was going on. They’ve been financially doped to the nth degree. That horse has already bolted. The FA and Premier League should have nipped that kind of investment in the bud when Abramovich started funnelling his dirty roubles into Chelsea. But they happily allowed it.

City will dominate English football for the next decade and beyond, and they’ve cheated to get there. A drugs cheat would be banned for life and vilified in the press for doing what they’ve done.

City will just be lauded for their “amazing football achievements.”

In the eyes of any proper fan, City’s fanbase included, any success they achieve as a result of financial doping is severely devalued.

Having said that, I don’t doubt for a minute that their fans are quite content to enjoy devalued success over no success at all.

Will their owners still be around after the Qatar World Cup?

I can’t help but think their involvement in Man City is tied to that and making them look like an acceptable nation when really everyone knows the truth but nobody, especially in the media, wants to talk about it.

Their success means nothing to me, it’s a sham. I know City fans who just don’t care though, they don’t feel that the clubs wrong doing is their fault, so they just enjoy the success.

City’s owners are from Abu Dhabi, not Qatar.

Just had a quick look on Blue Moon. The City fans don’t care. This is all “fake news” to them.

Man City Exposed :-

Spiegal Online Link

For years now, the Manchester City football club has vehemently denied that its owner, the sheikh of Abu Dhabi, broke financial rules. But internal emails tell a different story, providing evidence of backdated contracts, illusory sponsoring payments and cavalier, "We can do what we want," business practices. By DER SPIEGEL Staff

This story sickens me, and devalues everything in our league..if this happens to our club, I'm off...

This lot need throwing out of our league..simple as.
Quite right. I lived and worked in the Gulf (Abu Dhabi and Qatar, as it happens) for more than 10 years.
Their attitude is: "Every man has his price... and if he doesn't, he's not worth buying."
They are the most arrogant, ignorant, indolent, despicable people I've ever had the misfortune to know.

All of it based on natural resources plundered too. None of it down to business acumen at all. Vast riches can be respected when they are earned. Take away the natural resources of these countries and their ruling classes would be living in fucking huts, using birds of prey to try and blag a meal!

What annoys me is the almost total blackout of this news by our biggest sports outlet sky ;any mention is just cursory.
There pundits jump all over us at every opportunity for what is in realty minor local problems but a real story which is obviously true otherwise these Abu Dhabi people would have lawyers all over it.
I still believe the start of all these super rich people wanting to rule the football world started with Abramovich .
Abramovich wanted premier league domination but these oil rich Arabs want to rule the whole football world .
Unless Fifa or Uefa grow some balls they will be blown away by these people and football as we know it will be finished but the problem is that the people brought in to clean up Eufa are as corrupt if not moreso than the people they replaced.
I just hope that out there someone has some integrity and will try to stop these arabs who are intent on ruining our game.

They can’t buy the game. Sure they might influence and do as they please at the top level, but if that happens then simply move down the levels. Fuck em.
I think fans should start making more of a noise about these scumbags though. Palace fans had a good banner a few years ago against Chelsea about Roman. Shame it’s not carried on

The only thing that confuses me a bit is why Infantino made the decision to veto the plans for a la liga game between Barcelona and Girona to be played in the US, under the reasoning that a league match has to be played within the confederation which it belongs to. It doesn't sound like Infantino would be on board with a super league (or maybe he knew these stories would be leaking, and wanted to make it seem like he's on the right side).

I agree wholeheartedly with Ralvy here and Infantino is just Blatter or Platini .He will only be interested in what makes money for the clubs that are pushing for a breakaway league because he is scared that if there was a breakaway his 'power would be zilch but if he had some balls and integrity he would take on these clubs and make them realise that they are not the only ones that matter and in fact he is the man with the power if he had some balls he could reign in these greedy clubs trying to form the "the greed is good"league

And document from football leaks shows that City were ready to pay co-owner and board member of Danish Vejle BK £250K to guarantee Hu Ruibao game time in a scheme to sell Chinese players back to China for huge profits

Just curious as to why now? We've known this all along - pretty much to the level of detail in the article.

Eh. There a necessary evil at the moment keeping the deluded in check. I mean sure, they do things wrong, evade rules all over(im shocked:rolleyes:) and are pretty blatant about it but better that than the other fucking cheats who arent so blatant and extremely deluded. Give me the blatant cheats over the more deluded, non blatant cheats.

If there was a true investigation done of things, at the very least 4 PL clubs would be fucked, relegated and banned from europe for years while the past 3 titles would be stripped and the other clubs many media would have there pitchforks out at the fa for having the nerve.

No fan of City (obviously) and there is much in the recent revelations that sticks in the craw but... Who's surprised? To echo what previous poster said, if there was a proper investigation other EPL teams would be screwed. Are Chelsea squeaky clean? Lol. Also think about why City's owners had to pump in so much money: because Manchester United and Chelsea had done such a sterling job inflating the transfer market and enshrining themselves as top dogs. The entire system is fucked if it requires the wealth of City's owners to have been competitive with other teams. No THEY have screwed things further! City are only part of the wider problem.
