Sacking Poch was right because we didn't back him. Levy wanted to keep Toby, Eriksen and Dele more. The mistakes were made the 18 months we went without a singing and not letting Poch clear out the rot after Madrid.
Before Madrid. He knew before then.

Looking back on those passages of play throughout the game --

Every time DZ came at us we managed to either open up and let them waltz past us or they lost possession but we managed to give it straight back to them with a miskick or a fumbled stray pass giving them another chance.
.
Sissoko, WInks, Dier & Sanchez - Never want to see them play for us again.
.
Everything we did in Europe has all counted against us now - all for nothing, those draining qualifiers, just like the FA Cup - to see us slide out against another team we should have comfortably beaten but the mentality and skill combination was AWOL again.
.
These players don't seem to realise how much the need for winning a pot means to us supporters.
.
Tottenham the nearly men but also the laughing stock of North London - again.

Kane and Son are going nowhere just like the team . The money Levy would want makes it untenable at their age ,
These players are practically all internationals and a youth team to be proud of the only thing missing is a man that can mould this lot into a force to be reckoned with it is just not going to happen with a yesterday man .
I could see City offering the asking price

They pressed us high up the pitch and we kept giving the ball away. Always started from the back and we had no answer in the midfield with winks snd Sissoko on.

Ive had a real good think about it and Ive decided I'm not going to get down or depressed about it. After all its not me thats lost face, I work from home and dont have to face my Man City, Man Utd or Liverpool supporting colleagues. Also I can ignore their sarcy condolence messages on Microsoft Teams.
Also, I havent lost money, I put a bet on that DZG would win 3-0 as all my bets go totally wrong usually so I thought this was a way of getting the right result.
Also, I havent lost my wife as she was buried in my cellar in a one person ceremony a couples years or so back. Lovely lady but she was a Liverpool fan and became unbearable in the minutes after a Spurs Liverpool game. If I remember correctly, she passed away the night of a champions league match, totally inconvenient.

We had a good hour of our team being

lloris
Aurier Sanchez Dier Reggie (30 mins)
Sissoko
Ndombele Le Celso
Bale Lucas
Kane

and we couldn’t score a goal! There’s no way you can blame the manager for this. Those players should be good enough to win a game with my 9 year old son managing the team. It’s an attitude and mentality problem.

Money always wins and unfortunately were not a club that spends to win

I'll.alwsys support the club but I think recently I've really altered my expectations of where we sit and what we will achieve

So what happened tonight then? At the end of the game we had Kane, Bale, Lo Celso, Bergwijn, NDombele and Vinicius on the pitch whose supposed transfer value is probably more than the GDP of Croatia FFS.

Before the peace talks a few weeks back. Was interested but wouldn't leave mid season. Then everything went well with his bringing the squad back.
Went well? You mean the 9 points from 9?

I just dont know where we go from here but I do know that the next few seasons are going to be extremely tough.

We are basically where we were before we appointed Poch. The next managerial appointment is vital and it needs to be a good one or we will become a mid table team. It's that serious.

We aren't going to be in the Champions League again any time soon and Kane and Son will be gone by end of next season in my opinion.

Unless Levy changes our prospects won't change!

The key question is when will we get an email from the Spurs club shop selling some “last 16 Europa” memorabilia

I was never Jose’s biggest fan and wanted Max Allegri in when Poch was sacked. But Jose picked the team tonight and playing Dier and Sanchez at CB and Winks and Sissoko in the middle was inexcusable. We’ve all been slating those partnerships for 2 full seasons now. I never, ever want to see Sissoko and winks line up together again. Jose’s team selection cost us tonight but at the same time, I dunno what good sacking him is going to bring. Under Levy, We have now had:

Jacques Santini,
Tim Sherwood,
George Graham,
Glenn Hoddle,
Juande Ramos,
Andre Villas-Boas,
Harry Redknapp,
Martin Jol,
Mauricio Pochettino and
Jose Mourinho.

And bar a single league cup, not one of them has had any success.

Replacing another manager will not make any difference. The common denominator here is the owners.

Sure, they have done great things in terms of the training facilities and the stadium, but on the football side of things, they have been abysmal. Levy and Lewis really should do the honourable thing now, admit defeat and sell up.

Until we have people at the top of our club, with both the ambition and resources to make us competitive, then this will always be as good as it gets for us.

The only consolation I have is that my other half is a BVB supporter and we live minutes from the stadium. At least they aren’t on great form with a young side, with a new coach lined up and some of the finest players in Europe in their squad. Oh, wait,
Unless Levy changes our prospects won't change!
I think the stadium was supposed to finance that change of approach, but Covid put that spending on hold. Sadly we might have to wait a year or two before we catch up with where the club planned us to be.

100%.

Nagelsman is the one we were lining up before. Won't leave till the end of the season though. Not even sure money will change that.

I reckon Nagelsmann is wise enough to know that the closer he would get to glory with Spurs the more likely it would become that Levy's ring piece would go and the wallet would snap shut just when it needs to be open!

Leipzig playing Bayern after international break. They need to win it or any chance for title is basically gone. They will not. We could try after that.

In reality it’s not a case of either/or, it’s both. The players mentality is spineless AND Jose is done at the highest level

Jose needs to go and we need a total overhaul - how it’s 2021 and Sissoko and Winks are seen as a viable pairing in CM is beyond my comprehension. Both won’t happen, but Jose going will hopefully be followed by a manager who can utilise some very good attacking talent in this squad so at least we will be watchable if nothing else

Kane is being run into the ground again, the ‘back up’ we signed cost us a £3m loan fee and we are surprised he isn’t fit to lace Harry’s boots. This is indicative of the squad ‘investment’ over the last 5 years, the last 2 years is just our chickens coming home to roost from not refreshing the squad when we were in a position of strength to do so

Yeah, too stubborn to accept shite he was being offered by Levy. Too bad Morinho fell for it thinking that 7 mediocre summer signings will help improve us. Make that 6, Reggi is half decent.

PEH is class. Just being played too much because he’s the only decent, fit CM we have

I've seen some shite performances before, which we expected to win prior or during the match. That Southampton 4-0 loss in the cup many moons ago, Everton in a cup semi, losing to Pompey in the semi, losing a 3 goal lead to United and City, never ending shite amount, but this is maybe the worst out of them all

When/if Sonny/Kane move on or decline I dunno where the club is going. Absolute shambles of a club right now
