Tottenham boss Juande Ramos has warned his players he will not tolerate another below-par performance and has urged then to repay the supporters against Blackburn on Saturday.
Another article about Ramos getting tough with the players in the Daily Star. But with half a dozen games to go, is this much of a threat? What actual sanction does he have against players who don't put in the effort?
Seems to me that most are just professional footballers who don't really care who they play for as long as they get their wedge. So what if we sell them in the summer? Someone else will come along and give them a similar or better deal.
Robbie Keane clearly feels passionate about the club - but he's been here nearly 6 years. O'Hara came through the ranks and it matters to him. Tainio is well-known as being a long-term fan of the club.
Apart from those, who would you say actually cares about playing for our club? And how do you motivate a player who doesn't give a toss if he's kept or sold in the summer?
