Please don't try to back your case with YouTube videos, it simply makes it weaker and desperate.

I saw Ramos start Gio a few times, then bring him on as a sub on a number of occasions and offer nothing. He went out on loan, did very little. Came back, did very little. Went on loan, did very little. Had a decent world cup, came back into the squad, came on against City, did shit all. Started against Young Boys, played shite, came on against Wigan, did nothing.

Sorry, he is pretty much the Mexican Wayne routledge.

Christ alive is the Gio wankfest still going on?

If he honestly was as good as half of you seem to think then where are all the clubs clamouring to sign him?

if we dont end up signing any strikers again then i'd have him back in the squad, really cant be a less effective goal threat than crouch so why not.

but hopefully we bring in 2 top strikers so he can go, but in the mean time i'd loan him to QPR for a season just be safe unless we get a really good offer to sell from someone now

What objective evidence should we use then Kendall?

Your SpecSavers sponsored match reports?

Pretty sure Kendall was present at the majority of matches he has mentioned, especially in the league cup....

ha ha this is priceless.

Those who love GDS still cant see that he hasnt been rated by any of his club managers except Roy Keane in the championship!! Does this not tell you something? Guardiola, Ramos, Redknapp and the Galatasaray manager all wouldnt play him!!! Has he set la liga on fire? The answer you are looking for incorporates the letters "O" and "N" but not in that order!

I would love to know what people base their belief that he could be great on? Is it his performances in a youth tournament aged 17? Or his amazing world cup last year that people go on about (0 goals, 0 assists)?

When he actually does ANYTHING to suggest he is good enough then comment, but at the moment is just looks like a bunch of clueless people who want to make a dig at Redknapp.

He made 14 apps for Galatasaray. He made 38 for Barcelona, who had quite a "decent" team. Why claim the other managers wouldn't play him?
And he was great at Santander, turning heads from other La Liga clubs. I wouldn't say he set La Liga on fire, but still.
And I have to ask, did you actually see Mexico play in the world cup? Or any international game? He's running their whole play.

What does he have to do to convince you that he is worth a chance in Spurs?

37 games for Barca, the vast majority as a sub. Is that a sign of a great player then? Surely the fact they sold him for around £4m is a bigger sign of what they thought? 14 games for Galatasaray - many from the bench again. Again, they didnt decide to keep him (went on loan with view to permenant) so he obviously didnt make that good an impression.

Great at Santander? Well if thats the case then i assume they will take up their option to buy him then!

The evidence is in front of you but you wont see it so ill simply say - come back to me when he does anything over a long period of time at a club comparable to THFC as until then - he is NOT good enough for us.

He's currently on his way to a loan spell at Darwin Argyle I believe, after failing to impress in both Melbourne and Adelaide.

How many players would have got 37 apps for Barca at the age of 19 with competitors like Eto'o, Messi, Ronaldinho, Iniesta, Bojan, Deco (and Gudjohnsen )? He wasn't picked ahead of them and got sold when they bought Henry, he must be awful.
Rijkaard wanted to buy him at Galatasaray, but got fired after they finished third. Santander can't even afford to pay wages to their players, so they won't afford Gio.

The fact that he has played a major part for the national team for several years despite his young age won't count?

wally - yeah he played lots for Barca as a sub, but then they sold him for 5m euros!! surely if he was so good he would have either a) stayed or b) gone for much more?

Great he has played for Mexico - what a player. I know of a Chesham United former player who played over 80 games for his country but he never played a game in league football!!!!!

Seems like you are coming out with lots of excuses tbh. If he is good enough he ll make it - so far he hasnt anywhere.

Does anyone lnow where you can watch these Gold Cup games?

I always wondered whether Dos Santos would be up to the physical side of the Premier League, but as others have said here, I'm not sure he was ever really brought up to full speed and match fitness to test that. Didn't see any of his games in Spain, but his scoring record looks decent and Sevilla seem to be after him - especially if they lose Kanoute.

Maybe under a different manager he would have got a better run at Spurs, but some players' faces just don't fit or are just the wrong player at the wrong time regardless of ability.

No they don't.

Send GDS to the Swans, he'd be brilliant in their side...

yeah - you are trying to explain why he hasnt been fancied by any of his club managers and i am saying he hasnt been fancied by any of his club managers. Therefore mine are the truth and yours are just excuses for GDS failures. Pretty much spot on :hump:

Sorry to go off subject but you from Chesham Pringle? I was dragged up in Amersham. Also I reckon Dos Santos could make it but sincerely doubt it will be with us
