I'm not totally convinced on Isak - he's got a lot of potential, but Vlahovic is the real deal already.

I know it’s a joke but the reality is this is Spurs under Enic. And no I’m not moaning but it’s just factual observation.

Spurs are linked to Dybala but we end up with Nkoudou and N’jies.

Linked to Vlahovic but will sign Ali Cho.

Linked to Skriniar and we sign Rodon.

We occasionally make a signing like Romero or Ndombele that are ambitious but compared to the elite clubs it’s just not enough.

I’m really fascinated to see if it changes next summer because it has to really. Otherwise we aren’t ever closing the gap.

It's true but let's face it, given Juventus were actually involved it's not a hard decision to make. They're a much bigger club and he's going to win so many trophies in the next decade and we simply can't offer that in our current setup. Seems like we got played by his agents big time as well.

For sure, Vlahovic going there would’ve been way worse. But they’re still active looking for a top striker. Seems we have an interest in De Ketelaere and David who are both good but again, not Vlahovic’s level.

If Juve is where he was always destined to end up, then far better it happens now than we get led on a merry dance around him next summer. We're not in a position to compete with them in terms of stature, especially for a player already playing in Italy, and there's no shame in that, so more than happy to not have been mugged off for the past couple of weeks like Arsenal seem to have been. Dusan Vlahovic at Juventus already in January. It's a possibility that the transfer of the Serbian striker to Turin in this market session makes its way. Fiorentina, in fact, is willing to sell Vlahovic as early as January and dictated the conditions: 70 million euros, without deferred payment. The main thing I learned from the Ndombele saga is tying yourself to the concept of "this one singular player will elevate us or solve us" is not a healthy way to evaluate transfer activity or current players. Took a big old L on that one. Recommend others take the same lesson here too. Dusan is a prospect. Maybe an elite one. Maybe one just suited for Serie A. No particular way of telling and obsessing over him isn't going to help your mental health any.

What worries me is not missing out on Dusan, it's the current lack of news on an alternate to him in our striking pursuit other than an 18 year old kid who while I like these kind of prospect deals in principal needs to be better balanced with first team needs.
