Juventus have been banned from European competition for next season. I think they're going to appeal, unless they already have and failed?
True but my point was more that if he can essentially have a pick of clubs would he choose us with no CL or European footy 🤷‍♂️ hard to say I suppose.

Right I already edited my post and added 'IMO' for those that need things spelled out in black and white. Can we stop derailing the thread now and move on please.

When you say can we move on please, in future could you just clarify if you’re saying it as a moderator… or just someone who wants to move on? Really wasn’t clear and now I’m conflicted.

"Uefa have now taken the decision to remove Juve from European competition for a season and handed them a €20m ($22m) fine. They only have to pay half the fine should they meet the governing bodies objectives of keeping losses below the threshold of €60m ($66m) for the next three years."

“We regret the decision of the Uefa,” said club president Gianluca Ferrero. “We do not share the interpretation that has been given of our defence, and we remain firmly convinced of the legitimacy of our actions and the validity of our arguments. "However, we have decided not to appeal this judgment.

They could continue to exceed those losses and pay €10m more than they need to. But I guess if they Don't, it means an extended ban, and an increased fine.

Code for we’ve got nothing that we think is strong enough to take to CAS.

I know Chelsea have been sniffing around but other than that I can't think of many other clubs after a striker, or at least could afford what Juve would want.

Only real option for him would be PSG if they were interested in him.

Fear that Chelsea will swoop in on this guy as soon as they get an inkling that a fee has been agreed.

I would prefer Orban and Toney in January to just Valhalovic. But I would be happy with either.

Whatever his pros and cons this would be a ‘big boy’ transfer, can’t see it happening even with the Kane money

Not a team i would love more to win nothing and get done by FFP than Chelski. Ridiculous that the FA are letting them get away doing tjis.
They've raked a load from their Saudi contacts so the fees may or may not do for them, their problem may come from the wages over the long contracts.
So I suspect they're not likely to be in for Vlahovic.

I think they’re happy to take a ban (again). If Chelsea are beaching FFP and get a one or two window transfer ban… they won’t care. They have bought every one they need

Yeah after this summer they won’t care.

Typical that the league are closing the FFP loophole after Chelsea have exploited it.

I’ve wanted Vlahovic since Conte.

In a weird way, even though I’d rather Fabio was not be involved with us whatsoever, it’d be strangely reassuring that a football plan was still in place and that Levy was not just collecting footballers.

With a big lump sum up front, I can see Juventus agreeing to a move here. Fingers crossed!

More to do with the transfer debt, which must be to the tune of 120m per annum.
But I believe the new rules are the wage bill must be 70% or less of revenue so it's a tightrope. They may think they have a loophole but I don't know what that is.

Am I the only one who is paranoid about spending big on strikers? Dont think I’ve dealt with my Soldado PTSD yet.
