That's true but we don't have a great record of that either so we fail to move players on and then as a result of that fail to buy players we need.
We are continuing the cycle which has led us to be in this position.
It's exhausting.

My point is most of the club has been on the other side of the world which makes me believe that a lot of links and updates come from agents so there could be loads going on that either hasn't reached a journalist or ITK source or stuff that they know and they can't talk about .

Now do I think that it's an absolute disgrace the lack of movement on a centre back front and outgoings? Yes I do , it's negligence but I expect no less from this board.

However I'm not convinced all our eggs are in this guy's basket. He sounds great but he isn't the only centre back in the world and I'm hoping there are other people were after which is why this has seemingly slowed down.

it’s been clear as day that Tapsoba was always going to cost 50M or slightly higher. If we weren’t willing to go that high, we should have known from start and the scouts been doing their work on alternatives.

I said the same on Saturday based on 20 odd transfer windows of experience, but some posters like @SandroClegane didnt want to hear it.....along with those that agreed with him of course.

Hardly the voice of reason 😅. I'd rather we got the right centre back in, then rushed to get one for the sake of it. This happened last year and we ended up with Lenglet on loan. We need to make sure we don't fuck this up.

It cheers me up no end reading about our CB search (across the threads for each player) - and posters losing their shit repeated over players they on the most part had no idea about 3 months ago.

But because someone said player X “is the best”, and everyone has looked at some xStats on a website.. any other signing should be the cause for ripping up of season tickets and the burning of Joe Lewis’ yacht.
