Had the choice of watching 4 European Semi-Finals (Including Eric, Bryan and Jose!), two top 6 Premier League teams or this seemingly already decided tie. Decided to watch this one anyway as had a sneaking suspicion Wednesday'd give it their all...
And they sure did.
Just can't believe I didn't put any money on that sneaking suspicion...

Mark Hughes often came across as a bit of a prick in the PL but I really respect him taking the Bradford job and trying something very different.Sky sports having a technical fault and the last 5mins of Carlisle Bradford is a blank screenamateurs
But as for the final, I really couldn't give less of a shit about Stockport v Carlisle. Fun to see Salford continue to fail to go up, though.

This shows why people who poopoo signing players from the Championship, and there are definitely some of those on here, are wrong.
I'm sure there are loads of equally talented players there this season. We just need to scout well and identify the right players (i.e. not Joe Rodon). That is our issue.
I'm in no way saying we should look at players from the Championship (everyone's got to start somewhere), but that XI isn't overly impressive. I'm not sure if I'd want more than a couple of at Spurs.

Will have an eye on the Championship playoff today as theres a a strange quirk about it.
Would be good to see either team back in the top tier so looking forward to it.
I've told this story on here before but things for me could of been very different, back in 1987 (I was 9). My best friend at the time Ben and I supported Oxford United as our local team. Unfortunately they were relegated that year and being 9 years old we decided we couldn't possibly support a team in the second division and had to pick a new team. Now I can't remember why but our main criteria (other than being in Division 1) was that they had to wear white. This left us a choice of Spurs, Derby or Luton, ultimately we chose Spurs because they were in the cup final against Coventry
. I do sometimes think what if we'd of chosen one of the others.
I still remember spending hours Ben's Dad's garage rifling through old copies of the Mail on Sunday reading old match reports once we decided on Spurs. Thinking on it... fuck Coventry, Come on Luton.
