I love it in Europe, but I hate it in the Carabao.Two-leg ties are absolutely awful. I hate them.
If it means more wear and tear on Newcastle, I’m all for it… this year.I love it in Europe, but I hate it in the Carabao.
As I said in the PL thread the other day, VAR has exposed so many of the laws as unfit for purpose and so far removed from their original intent. Its time to revisit the law itself - not the VAR usage.
Basically, United have looked fantastic ever since they shoved CR7 off the quarterdeck. Funny that everyone else knew that was the problem before they did.Ten Hag has done an incredibly impressive job at United. Winning a cup this season and top 4 would be outstanding when coupled with the much better structure they have on the field.
I'd like Conte to get us back on the rails again in a similar vein. I thought we were well on the way with our run in last season, and it's difficult to understand why we dropped that and been so erratic this season. I don't understand why the team is sitting off so much and playing a low block so often and Conte should address that urgently. There's too much drama around Spurs that would all settle down if Conte just got his system working again.
United and Newcastle are likely to be rewarded with a cup final appearance for their good work this season. If Spurs can do the same in the FA cup and league, we might not be resigned to being overtaken by these two.
That's true, but Ten Hag is the key to the upturn, not ditching Ronaldo. And Ten Hag had to be the one with the balls to do it too, no matter how obvious it was to everyone outside of Man U.Basically, United have looked fantastic ever since they shoved CR7 off the quarterdeck. Funny that everyone else knew that was the problem before they did.
Trying to see the positives in that these two are key competitors for top 4 this season and this might take their eye of the ball a little bit.So as expected a Man U vs Newcastle in the final.
.
26th February.
.
I doubt I will bother tbh.
Sour grapes ? Yeah
Ten Hag was widely criticized at Ajax for not rotating sufficiently to keep players fresh. He's doing similar here with United, and I think it will catch up with them.Trying to see the positives in that these two are key competitors for top 4 this season and this might take their eye of the ball a little bit.
We have 5 games in February whereas United have 8 games. They had a 3-0 lead going into yesterday and still put out a very strong lineup.
It will be an especially emotional event for Newcastle having not been in a cup final for a really long time. Whilst we didn’t have CL to compete with at the time, our league form collapsed after winning the league cup in 2008.
I noted the lack of rotation in the Europa League but was just shaking by head in disbelief to play that many first teamers when you have a three goal lead at OT (again 8 matches to play in Feb).Ten Hag was widely criticized at Ajax for not rotating sufficiently to keep players fresh. I had forgotten that United haven't won a trophy since 2017. (I'd be so proud of that stat for our club BTW)Don't want to see Man United win more silverware because it's extremely bad for the environment outside of the North West.....in the same way that it is when Liverpool win silverware.
Plastic Bandwagon mania literally goes into overdrive when this happens, and you can't escape being suffocated and offended by the sight of red shirts in places they really shouldn't be as they all pop out of the woodwork....I.e London, the home counties, the South West, Norfolk, some parts of the Midlands, the Cotswolds, Wales and Ireland will be awash with them and Sports Direct outlets prepare for a deluge of punters rushing to purchase these shirts for the plastics.....
