I actually think he came across very well in that interview. He was certainly more philosophical about the situation and the chants than one would expect him to be given the abuse he has got from our fans over the years.

I would welcome him with open arms, he's a proven EPL goal scorer who can lead the line and is a decent age, exactly what we are looking for.

Considering what the market will be like, I'd take this guy in a heartbeat.

I agree. Ultimately there aren't many top quality strikers out there - he's a top quality striker, no doubt

If he wants to play for us, I'd definitely take him, he'd be absolutely ideal

I can't see City selling him to us though

Where does he talk about joining us in the vid?

yeah lets sign him...

oh hang on , isn't he the guy who apperently split the arsenal dressing room? isn't he the guy who slapped his teamate at the lane(bentner) isn't he the guy who toure had a punch up with at city, isn't he the bloke who ran the whole length of the field to wind up his former fans(class) isn't he the guy who walked out on the scum to join city just for the yankee dollar??? isn't he the guy we absolutely hammer leading to a warning? (he must really love us)

Yeah lets get him..quick ...he will be great for us...I GIVE UP SOMETIMES.

I didn't particularly like this either ...

Nor did I like the way it wasn't dealt with at the time by the authorities especially in view of last night's incident at Tynecastle.

At the end, he says he would still like to join us

Very fair comments from Adebayor really, was interesting him saying that Mourinho would have never lost the final against Birmingham if he managed Arsenal.

I would also take him in a heartbeat.

I wonder why he didn't come to us then?

The fact that he said he was supposed to join us suggests that Man City even considered selling him to us which I thought would never happen.

Why are we comparing him with Gallas? Gallas was a bad loser thats all, this guy is a serial cock.

Bad loser or just a winner?

You make it sound like being a bad loser/winner is a bad thing, yet Harry is geting slated in another thread for being a good loser.

Maybe because it was one of the most idiotic acts ever carried out on a football pitch? As 'funny' as you may find it, it could have easily led to a pitch invasion putting many people at risk of injury and even death, to me that's not funny or great at all.

No, sorry, i'm with adam, i found it hilarious. If he'd not had to run the full length of the pitch and had just turned and taunted them then yeah, silly, but the showmanship took it beyond that - the slide on the knees with his palms upwards, arms outstretched, through a hail of lighters and coins, that just made it all the more special

Call me childish if you like, but he put a lot of effort in to that celebration and cemented himself as hated by the Woolwich's pikey hangers on. Credit where credit is due.

Technically an on-form and mentally right Adebayor is a great prospect to have - however, I sincerely doubt this will be the case for the majority of the season.

One area we need to really establish up front, besides the obvious 'scoring goals', is to generate a 'defending from the front' mentality - so the choices of many it seems, is to bring in Berbatov and Adebayor!

I'm all for a physical presence up front in some guise, either by a stocky so and so ala Tevez or through sheer size such as Carroll but in any circumstance they have to work hard for the cause and run themselves into the ground every single game, especially if we are to adopt having one up top - can anyone of you envisage Adebayor doing that for us?!

I don't ever remember the same reactions when Henry did it to us. Mthe whole reaction to it was over he top and pathetic. None of what you said happened.raga also made a point of sshing them and celebrating in front of them was that ok?

I thought he should have got a massive ban for it tbh as against a different set of fans it could have gone horribly wrong. Can you imagine him doing that at Millwall, Cardiff or West Ham....
