Explained Ade to my new Mrs as like that famous Spanish bull thats killed 3 bull runners recently....a rampaging snorting force of nature (we hope)

..but then I realise we are only one Shawcross lunge away from the misery of our old 'strikeforce' lambs back again for the season :-|

Til that happens , great loan signing... go Ade

Yep we need another striker, I hope we get Leandro done as he can play the lone role also.

Yes he left for the money but this comment from Nasri shows that the players get as frustrated with new transfers as us. You can see why Modric became unsettled and how Rafa and Bale want to see investment before making long term plans.

Nasri accused the Arsenal faithful of lacking passion as soon as he was up the M6 — and has now hit out at the club as a whole.

The France international said: "I started talks with Arsenal about a contract extension last October.

"But June came around and I had not heard any news and I could not see any players being brought in during the transfer window.

"At a given point you have to make an investment. I would hear from time to time it was 'a question of money'.

"It's fair to say I will earn a good living at City. But I am 24, I have reached a turning point in my career and it was important for me to join a club that matched my ambitions.

"I see myself more likely to win trophies at City now than if I had stayed at Arsenal."

Probably been said before but he was definitely introduced to Levy at the start of the game when he was in the stands. Suppose it's only a loan so not much to meet the player about anyway.

Great signing and costing us very little in comparison to his quality.

We do need another striker though and I'm hoping that the fact that this deal is a loan means there's still money available for another transfer or two.

I'm glad it's just a loan to be honest. If things go pear shaped we have an easy escape route.

Really interested to see how the team plays with him. I expect he will score a boat load (in the first few months at least).

This is an absolutely superb signing. We haven't had a proper big man who can do everything for a very long time. We've had tall players, but absolutely pony in comparison.

He would also fit with whatever formation we choose to go with.

I can't wait to see him play with VdV.

I think he is a very intelligent guy and footballer, so give them a few games together and the pair of them good strike up an unbelievable partnership. No-one we have played with him so far are on his wave-length and you can see how frustrated he gets.

This, together with the fact that i think VdV looks a lot fitter this year, gives me a lot more confidence in our goal scoring ability.

Ha! When I get some internet access at home, I like the idea of putting it across their face.

Awesome.

46 Premier League goals in 105 games for Arsenal, a record of 1 in 2.3. He started 86.

15 Premier League goals in 34 games for Man City, a record of 1 in 2.3. He started 27.

5 Primera Liga goals in 14 games for Real Madrid, a record of 1 in 2.8. He started 6.

If we stays fit and out of trouble I think we can look forward to upwards of 15 Premier League goals from this guy. Added to his ability to bring others into play and the way he bullies defenders and I think we have our number 9 boys (though he'll not have that number :-( )

I think his goal ratio will improve.

Bale and Lennon now have someone to finish their crosses.

Modric said he was happy, but was wanting to see ambition from the board (both himself, and through his proxy, Corluka), and then whored himself days later in an apparent (and pretty obvious, really) tapping-up case. And that was after recently signing a 6 year deal - he didn't refuse to sign it because he could see a lack of ambition. He didn't wait to see what signings we made.

Whinger has the money, but just won't spend it; Levy is trying to spend the money, but convincing players, of the level required, to come is not easy.

These players, they biatch and moan about wanting to see the right signings are made - and throw strops if they aren't. But what do they actually know. We all agree (or those of us not running down the High Road naked waving our willies over our heads like lassoos (A&C:eek:mg:) that it is a good idea to sign Adebayor. Would that be a step in the right direction for Modric? But what if we sign him and he just doesn't hit the heights? What if the management decided to bring Harry Kane through and Modric decided that was cause enough to want out...but if that happened and he stayed, we won the EPL? Modric doesn't know that...neither did Nasri.

I'd agree, over the course of a few years, maybe, players can see a trend, and we all know Whinger is at his best with younglings (Eek) - so, maybe, Nasri has made a fair assessment. But, just maybe, mamagers make good decisions that players would dismiss as such without seeing the result, and when they pan out they prove to be so.

Just an alternative outlook.
