This has got to be the most draining season I've ever experienced. Ups, downs and (perhaps typically) lots of going round and round.

Obviously, the Carling Cup was wonderful, especially giving the Chavs a lesson in football.

But, but, but, there have been too many lows. Jolgate, the continuation of Berbagate, and the quite frankly limp end to the season were all very tiring and dispiriting.

Yet another season of 'transition'. I'm just wondering when we'll stop transiting, and actually arrive. Hopefully, next season.

Let's have your thoughts on season 07/08

Shocking.

Can you imagine this season, but without the Carling Cup win? Doesn't bare thinking about :-(

Pretty uninspiring apart from some silverware and a few one off performances.

At least we've been playing some nice stuff. Roll on next season and a few high class signings.

I think you summed it up with draining.

It's a shame as we won our first bit of silverware in ages, which should be great, but the fact that after that no one seemed to care is just completely....well, draining.

a pretty crap season all round really. It feels so, so long ago when we were all chomping at the bit to get started, then Sunderland happened.
The cup win and the semi were both great, but now it's all over, I just feel a bit flat about the whole season.

Roll on mid August, I think (and bloody hope!) we might see a different Tottenham.

To right, massive high after the cup final, ever since we have been awful, and it's really left us on a down for the season.
I want some signings now to give us a big boost going into next season.

Draining seems to sum it up.

Carling Cup was brilliant, but our season ended with that win.

Im still dissapointed that Jol was sacked. Spurs arent the same without him.

Right on with draining and add disappointing!
However, we had some good games too. The CC and the 4-4 against Chelsea.
And the draining is not over!!!!!! - We have perhaps suffer 2-3 months of the berba mystery.
Other fav players will be on their way too most prob like Lennon!
Well, we're 11th?
Lets take a rest and bring on next season.

Glad the season has finished, we were crap. I frankly ask Levy if this was in his plan, I am sick of us doing well then it all going wrong. Why Levy? the buck ultimetly stops at you! you decided to get Ramos in, what was planned for us? 11th mid table mediocrity again?

If this is what happens to us after Ramos took us over, no wonder BMJ was a bit annoyed, I preferred footy with BMJ to be honest!

Come on Spurs PLAY and not be a bunch of pussies!

Lets hope that land of eternal optimism, the transfer rumours forum, opens its pearly gates soon so we can grab a few bottles of nectar, wash off the dirt of the campaign and settle back on ivory chairs to discuss comings and goings.

The lows have far outweighed the highs for me this season.
Really not excited about next season either.
Ramos may have won us the CC, but still not convinced he will get us playing more consistently than Everton or Villa.

exactly what i was just thinking and im shuddering thinking about it

fuck me sideways this has been shocking. ffs the cup should have been something to help push us onto a really great finish to the season but no it apparently went to the players heads and they seemingly didnt think the rest of the season mattered

if we dont compete well into the top half all the way next season i fear we may never go anywhere. we are becoming a laughing stock in some ways. the teams straight above us arent exactly very good are they but we just have no fight and consistency to win the tight matches and we have lacked that for 10 years+ now really

Today was the damp squib to end the season, which has been a real rollercoaster one way or another.

So now, we have to look ahead to the future and have some faith in Ramos to rebuild a solid, settled team. Can't be done overnight be he has made a good start all things considered.

I've just had a text from my Liverpool supporting mate about today's result. I texted back, "How many trophies?", and I have heard nothing back from him.

It's all about winning trophies as far as I'm concerned. Would you lot have been happier had we won nothing but finished fifth again? I certainly wouldn't be.

It will nice to have a summer off and come back with renewed hope and optimism. Modric is a massive signing, and how we deal with berbatov and his replacement will be interesting. We need a couple of key signings while we have the chance.

After the Carling Cup some players were starting to think about their futures at the club but by that time I think Ramos had decided their futures. Likes of Robinson, Cerny, Kaboul, Tainio, Chimbonda, Lee are all probably going to leave and possibly Berba, Huddlestone, Dawson. This I think unsettled other players and dampened team spirit. The sacking of Jol did ruined the league, it should've been done last summer so Ramos could've sorted our squad then instead he was left with a squad where a third of the players were unwanted by him. Next season will be different, Ramos will be with a squad he will be much happier with (even without Berbatov) and that's when I think we will see the real Spurs under Ramos.

I think everyone loved the cup win, but the end to the season really has drained the optimism out of most. I think a few big signings will turn things around and we'll soon be dreaming of champions league

I'm not so sure.
Finishing 5th would have maintained our consistency and told potential players that we are on the cusp of CL football. Carling cup was a fantastic acheivement but says little about our prospects for the future.
