For me it is not about remembering the 90s. I fully acknowledge that ENIC have taken us massively forwards since they took over.

The question is more if they are the right people to take us forward from here.

Levy has struggled to get the right setup.

He was fully behind Arnesen then he left for Chelsea. Comolli didn't work out. Redknapp wasn't a long term thinker. He didn't see Poch as a DOF type manager.

Mourinho as head coach and a DOF who can get on board with our financial structure seems a great setup for us. If it doesn't workout then maybe Levy, maybe rather than ENIC, is not the right board to take us forward from where we are now.
Who has got the right set up? What, at this moment in time, are ENIC doing wrong? If we had won the Final, one game, would those banners be out?

The improvement despite not getting the right set up is remarkable and should be studied by scientists.

City, Liverpool and Leicester.

At this moment I believe ENIC have made a fantastic appointment and if the stories of getting in a DOF then I believe we have the right setup for our club.

I am very pro-ENIC and Levy.

My point was in response to the post I was quoting. It is possible to think ENIC are not right for us moving forward and also remember the 90s. Poch took us to the CL but didn't mean he was the right man moving forwards just like ENIC can have done a fantastic job so far and not be the right group to take us forward from here.

Why? ENIC have got most things right. Levy was absolutely right when he first took over and said we can't compete at the top until our turnover massively improves.

Arnesen leaving was a blow to Levy. Comolli didn't work out. Redknapp was an excellent short term manager. It appears Poch wanted to be manager/DOF rather than head coach when he seemed more suited to head coach with a DOF.

So I don't blame Levy but he has never quite got the management setup he wanted in place. It's what he needs to take us forward.

Why people get so defensive at that is beyond me.

Only 3 clubs have a better set up? That’s a great position to be in. There’s reaction almost like we were in the same position as Bury or Bolton or Charlton. Yes, the cupboard is bare trophy wise (which they have attempted to fix this very week). But the foundations for the future are strongly in place. Solid foundations, not just built on a short term push for glory. I think ENIC have finally turned their attentions to what fans want. We love the stadium and training facilities but it’s not what we really wanted. They’re there now. Let’s move forward, let the Trophy Manager do his thing. And if that doesn’t work then, maybe shine a light on what’s gone wrong.

And maybe then someone will hand over a crazy amount of dosh and do things we think ENIC can’t. Although there’s still no guarantee.

People are upset with ENIC for lack of ambition but when you present them facts that oppose that they go quiet.

I've never spoken to someone who are anti ENIC who has a coherent argument that supports their view, ever.

You seem to be disagreeing with things I haven't said.

People want us to spend fortunes on players yet the majority of our expensive players have turned out to be duds.

I have complained in the past however that levy’s transfer strategy of buying last minute (when the window used to shut at the end of august) has led to managers starting the season with one hand tied behind their backs. That much has been true.

I think the argument that they don’t spend anything is basically these people’s gripe. Yet at the same time ignoring us spending over a billion quid on buying up property in Tottenham and building a new ground.

Obviously there’s also people who’ll complain no matter what. Nothing will ever be good enough for them.

We all miss Poch, but we all recognised that the CL final marked the passing of something. Levy saw an opportunity to get José Mourinho into the club (which possibly began as far back as the Legends game) and gave it as long as he could. The peculiar timing of the change was likely down to ensuring José was completely signed down before he made the move.

Tough decision, but no one could accuse of this not being in the club's best interest.

Definitely OUT, but for purely personal reasons. As a shareholder, I would get a windfall from any takeover; at least twice what I would receive from selling on AssetMatch (say, an extra £5K-£6K if the club is sold for £1billion).

As a supporter, however, I think that ENIC have been pretty good custodians.

Considering the club's condition when ENIC took over its clear they've done a great job to this point. Levy is ambitious without being daft, so I see no reason to want a change.

No need for them to go. We’re a stable club that is well run and has been on a constant trajectory upwards under there tenure. We now have everything in place to make the next step.

Of course they could have done certain things better but that is true of any manager, player, chairman etc in the world.

Our own reactions are probably not the best to look at when it comes to Levy and Enic. Ask most fans of other clubs what they think of spurs (aside from usual Empty trophy cabinet jokes l) and it is one of relative success and a wish that there own club had that stability and investment in the club that ours do, whilst doing it the right way.
We were the same stock as Everton, West Ham, Villa, Newcastle etc big football clubs with history who have bounced between division or mid table obscurity. We’re not that.

West Ham and Newcastle have history, when was that exactly.
Everton is a big football club they other two are not.

One trophy is 20 years..He definitely sussed our fanbase. I honestly think he could sell sand to the Arabs and make them greatful.
