He's Usain Bolt compared to Fazio though.

Apart from pace.
Because I'm better than Fazio.Ha! I like Dier but I don't know how you can say he is better than Fazio.
Dier has only played half a premier league game as a CB for us. Where as Fazio cementing his place alongside Vertonghen has arguably been central to our recent upturn in form.
Dier might turn out to be the better player but I don't think anyone can comprehensively state he is better at this moment in time.
A lot of the players we loan out are never going to make it to the first team. The point is they go out, do well, increase market value and we then sell.Fair enough, just am sceptical about loaning younger players out.
Kane? Rose?
Because I'm better than Fazio.
Then in that case you better make yourself known to Messers Mitchell and Baldini.
Fazio has been good since partering Vertonghen. He's slow, sure, but he doesn't look uncomfortable or out of place. In the last few games he's bossed pretty much anything in the air and he's proven to be up for the physical challenge the Premier League presents. Not bad for a player who has only had a handful of games over here and is still adapting.
Of course, there's the high line issue because of his lack of pace, but the fact remains that no matter how fast a defender is that's the risk you take with a high line. Vertonghen isn't bad pace-wise for a centre back and even he gets caught out. Attacking players tend to be faster than centre backs, that's generally the way of things, and when you knock a ball past a high line the centre backs are always going to be ruined for pace, especially since they're turning and tracking back whilst the opposition are already facing and sprinting towards your goal. I don't see his lack of pace being a problem as long as the defence maintain their shape. Now whether he can take charge of a back line is an entirely different question. Something none of our current CBs have shown that they can do. As a former captain you'd hope he be able to. We'll have to wait and see.
I would play him CB against Leicester for starters.
This is where we fundamentally differ in opinion. I think he looks awkward, uncomfortable and completely out of place. His performance against Swansea was comical and at times against Burnley he was beyond desperate at attempting clearences.
Who would have hoped that Kaboul would not even be in the squad earlier in the season?
But how many times have loans really helped us and player comes back a lot better and establishes a spot in first team? So far in recent times can only think of Mason
I find it funny people keep mentioning Caulker even though he's done nothing special at all after being sold.Rose , walker , caulker (never should have sold him)
It's odd, he's bang average.I find it funny people keep mentioning Caulker even though he's done nothing special at all after being sold.
And that it seems every team he plays for is fighting for survivalI find it funny people keep mentioning Caulker even though he's done nothing special at all after being sold.
