Seems to be out of favour since he pulled out of the u21s saying he wanted to fight for a place at CB, and i think that might of pissed off Pochettino.

Supposed to be injured then fit then injured. Something's going on-would love to know what.

i dont think so...have to remember the only reason he ever played was due to injuries and suspensions, saying that I do hope he can get some runs at CB soon

I'm sure there are quotes where Poch seemed less than happy with him, basically saying why would a young kid restrict himself to one position when it's game time that at a young age that would help his progression, he also said he was not informed or aware that Dier was going to pull out of the 21s

Well if he's not gonna get much game time for us I hope we loan him. Personally he'd be first back up for faz and verts

The whole Dier signing was a strange one. I can only assume he's here, because he was cheap, young and available.

I'd like to see him play CB in cup games. Shame he's made limited appearances and most of them came at RB. If we aren't going to play him then we should loan him, it'd be a shame to see him rot, especially after his great start!

I think he's an excellent part of the squad and would not want to loan him.

Should be first choice to fill in for Fazio or Vertoghen if either u available / rested.

Yes, Poch put names of all the "cheap, young and available" players he knew of on pieces of paper in a hat and by chance Dier got picked

I don't think we will or should loan Dier out.

Our mainstay CBs are now Verts and Fazio. Kaboul looks like he'll be out, either during this
window or in the summer. Vlad looks too risky to play as CB but sufficiently okay at RB.

That leaves Dier as our only cover for CB and we still have lots of games in four different
competitions. In fact, if Poch decides not to utilise Kaboul and Vlad again as CBs, then we should
get in another CB to rotate with the other three CBs.
