He's probably the reason we are dragging the Orban deal out.

I would think it's one or the other. Our squad is too big to fit both especially with Gil being injured.
Neither has to be registered, Ernest not for a couple of years either. No reason not to go for both. Isn't this guy a wide forward anyway? If we cant shift some players then it makes sense to get some under 21s instead. Theres a few current players on their final year now anyway so by the time they need to be registered the squad will be trimmed.

I’ll be honest, I hadn’t heard of him until seeing this thread, so I’ve had to resort to YouTube videos to form a rough opinion.

At first glance, he reminds me of me; only slightly slower and not as skillful.

Wish we’d have bought him before training started so we could have had “Earnest Goes To Camp” lines on socials.

Reminds me of the videos of N’Jie before we signed him… looks like a ragged headless chicken when he gets the ball.
If he signs I hope Ange gives him a new head. 👍🏻 But we need pace so I’m all for him disrupting the starting 11 👌🏻

There’s a reason R9 is your avatar m8. Goals soccer centre’s man vs fat leagues have never seen the like before and never will again

I can't lie, this N'jie kid looks pretty good... He'll be worth 90m next summer. FFS Levy sign him you prick.

Even though I live in Copenhagen , I dont follow Danish league closely but I do go to 1 or 2 FC Copenhagen games in a year.Last season, went to Copenhagen vs Nordsjælland playoff game in april. I remember him having a very good game against FCK. He didn't score but looked to be winning his duels and was good riding tackles, when carrying at speed.

Never occured to me that we would be interested in a Danish league player staright up. He has done very well, think he won player of season or young player of the season for the league. If we are serious about him, then it big step in a right direction for our scouting department & 'transfer committee'

22m payment to a Danish league seems a lot. Previous sale transfer record in Danish league was for Sulemana to Rennes at 17m€

But why? One is a striker we absolutely need and one is a winger?

I doubt Ajax would be interested in buying him at £22 million. The PL taxis crazy and one the club doesn’t feel ready for. Can anyone really see us spending that on him or even Orban at that level out of the Belgian or Danish leagues? It just feels so out of character for us to do especially when that money could be put towards a first team player. We don’t do risky transfers anymore and I can’t blame the club that much when we have so many players we want to move on because of past mistakes. I’d be surprised if we sign both players, even one of him or Orban would be fairly out of the norm for us.

I assume he is an alternative to Gift?

The YT video was compelling. But also need to keep in mind the standard of the league.

That said - holy moly. Those are some lightening quick feet. Having players like him and Solomon come on late in a game when you're up against a low block, is crucial. Both running at tired legs, taking out players via their dribbling abilities, drawing fouls...

And yeah - he's so young. Could be an absolute beast in a couple of years.
We need to be signing a winger and another centre forward imo.

£22m is the new £10m from 7 years ago when we signed the likes of N’Jie and N’Koudou. KDB went city for £60m that summer and would prob be £120m if he went this year so the logic of transfer fee inflation would point to it being on similar trajectory

How much better do you think Nuamah is than Sulemana? They seem to have a similar career trajectory although play different wings and Sulemana slightly older (21) and being more experienced in European football. Would be a good comparison as they seem quite similar.

Post I made on him earlier this summer🙌
Honestly would be so fucking excited by this, moreso than Orban/Eze/Doku/Fati/Chiesa etc.

This guy is as good as it gets🔥🔥🔥
So those Mbappe links we had earlier in the window were not completely unfounded

Difficult for me to say as I havent watched Sulemana live. Profile wise both are same. But impact wise, I think Nuamah has had better impact than Suleman for the club in driving them up league ... Nordsjælland finished 2nd in league after long time last season. That also kind of helped Nuamah win player of the league season for 22/23

That may be so. Doesn’t mean we will pay it. £50 million on two players who may/may not make it, given recent history including the players you mention, does that sound like something we’d do?

Only a week or two ago the majority of SC wanted us to pay that on tapsoba or another top draw CB. Personally I think there’s better value in doing that.
