This is an article in the Spanish sports paper AS, which basically says that Etoo has been in talks with Spurs for the past week, apparently he is unhappy at Barcaleona, on a tv interview 2 days ago he said if I don't win any titles here i would move on. There are many rumours inside the club of unrest with the players.

On the other hand, he article goes on to say that the deal for Etoo is on the table as the club is resigned to losing Berbatov in the summer.

Etoo is a fantastic player and scores goals, lots of goals, he hasn't got the skills of Berba but he has speed and can take on players and is more prolific.

What do you think?

They do tend to produce a lot of rubbish, they are almost on a par with The Sun or Daily Mail, however this particular paper did take the pictures Of Levy with Juande Ramos when the board where denying they had talks with him. You never know sometimes they may be right, I live in hope!

Etoo would be great but doubt it would happen.
More like Man Utd or Chelsea if premiership bound.

No way would this happen. Eto'o has said he will go to the club who pays him the most money, again him moving could effect where Berba ends up if he is to leave. I think Man Yoo would be a good destination for Eto'o as he is used to that formation and would be getting a ton of chances every game.

There was a quote yesterday from somwhere I cannot remember saying he wanted to leave Barcelona, because he wanted to win more trophies...

THat kinda rules us out, along with the most money thing.

Lets be honest, if you wanna go win things in this country you go to Man U, Chelski, Arse or the Scousers in Red. Actually scrap the scousers, I can't see Eto'o living in Merseyside somehow.

Technically this season we've won more than the Scum and if United win the Champions League and the League we'll have won more than the other three put together

Barce's our feeder clucb, Barce's our feeder club........lol

Seriously tho, he says he wants to leave Barce to win big trophies.....presumably he means leagues and champions leagues not domestic cups and potentially the WEFA. (Not being pesimistic but realistic for the next couple of years atleast)

Eto'o is a yid at heart - remember he dedicated his nutmegging of Campbell of 2002 to us.

Will never play for us though.

Eto'o said if Barca don't start winning trophies he'll leave - for the club that pay him most...hmmm, presuming that is also a club that can guarantee him trophies as well.
Well, so since Ramos took over Spurs have been linked to the following Barca players: Marquez, Thuram, Puyol, Xavi, dos Santos, Messi, Gudjohnsen, Henry, Ronaldinho and, now, Eto'o. Why not just buy their whole team!
At least a Dinho deal is more likely than Eto'o.

I love the notion that he would be quitting Barca because he failed to win a title this year and instantly go in to talks with us (a team tat has not won the league since before the days of colour television)

Either this is bullshit or I have underrated the status of winning one League cup in a decade (did Middlesbourgh have such allure after they one it?)

I could see Man Utd being very keen on him as a direct replacement for Saha, that would make them some attacking force. Chelsea may well need player of his calibre if Drogba goes and of course he has been linked with Arsenal in the past.

Even Liverpool would probably like him as an upgrade to any of their non Torres strikers.

Not to mention the bigger Italian teams who could well have their heads turned by his availbility.

I assume the Spanish papers have the same need for gossip and inches to fill/sales to make as our papers so they are equally liable to print rubbish. I find it hard to believe Eto'o would be engaging in negotions with any other club days before a CL semi final.
Im sure a player of his quality can afford to wait till the summer to see who wants him and where he would most like to go.
