Okay, if we're to be realistic, Fulham are going to finish 7th. And to be honest they deserve it. But does that mean no Europe at all next season? Is there not an outside chance of Fair play backdoor? We're the highest placed team not in european places. Or what about the intertoto cup? Or has Platini got rid of that too? I remember Levy saying it was non runner years ago as it starts the season too early, although it starts less than a week before Champ league qualifiers. Anyone ITK?

Getting 7th place means you have to start very early in the Europa League competition, something like late july.

For that reason and many others, I'm ok with us not getting the spot...but would of course love it if we would get it.

definitely, if we get it, bonus. if not let's concentrate on the league. the new fornat of the europa league means more unecassary games anyway.
when we finished 5th(4th) we wernt in europe, so its just a distraction if we're not going to win the trophy. and i honestly don't think it's harry's priority

In view of whats happened in previous seasons, I would swap all cup entries for a decent start in the premiershap and remainin top 5/6 throughout the campaign, that's our bread and butter.

But we are certainbly good enough. Look at Shaktar - we would have beaten them if we had played our full strength - i have no doubt. They just won the thing. In that respect it is frustrating.

I agree with Diddy, forget Europe next season as it has only served as a distraction previously and it moves all of our games to a Sunday which is sheizer

i've heard whispers that even if we did make it into the europa (i know we won't) that we will play the kids in it.

We did it this season because Defoe, Keane, Pavlyuchenko and Corluka were cup tied, with Hutton out and the rest of the first teamers needed as we were in a relegation battle. I just can't see us doing that again, the situations would be completely different.

i know you don't believe me, but they went as far to say that they don't want to get into it this year anyway.

i see what you mean though, we should have a full squad this time round and therefore would be better equipped for that time of the season and i can see that if we are in it we should be trying to win it.

harry has said that he thinks its a silly competition though and i agree. all the prestige has been lost and is being lost on a yearly basis.

Exactly!.... We would have many more players available this year if we were to qualify for europe. . Half the team were cup tied or needed for a relegation scrap last time round. I fully believe we would be able to put up a decent fight this year and would be able to keep hold of a lot of squad players that are prob. gonna leave due to not getting regular football. I'd hate to lose O'Hara, Zok, Hudd, etc but it's a possibility if we don't make europe. I know we most prob won't but I want it. We are more than capable.
