I wonder which Everton played is going to behave like a cretin, winding us up and kicking lumps out of us.

Hopefully the ref will be a bit wiser about this now.

Evertons correct position is around 12th, so its like playing a Newcastle or Chelsea.

Mid-table fodder that we need to beat if we want CL

Hopefully we learn some lessons from our game against Brentford, don't get caught up in any nonsense and don't get too narrow, I expect we'll get pressed quite high by their forwards and midfield and have their defence sitting deeper, I'm never confident about going to Goodison tbh but Ange has shown he can change games and Madders will be a bit more lively.

We have to stay calm and focused today. Everton are going to act like Brentford did and target our minds and be physical on top... Richy, Romero etc will have to be mature in the way they tackle that approach from Everton.... I'm actually glad Højbjerg is there to help. Him and Bentancur can help the younger guys and also influence the hot-heads in our team 👍

Glad PEH is starting. We are gonna need his physicality.

I was thinking the same, not mad at that for a game like this at such a ground. I think he provides more physicality and presence than Skipp too, so I'm glad he was picked over him.

At least with Sarr on the bench, we have good options there with him and Kulusevski especially. Still look a tad bit short there, but slowly getting there too. Bissouma, Lo Celso and at least one of Son/Solomon returning will boost our options and strength in depth massively.

And Ashley Young is going to be as much of a nasty prick as he normally is. Expect loads of cynical tackles and little kicks here and there.

I would have had Donley on the bench over Gil considering Kulu is also on the bench.

Just didn't see that happening, think it was always going to be Gil as he's cover for the left and Kulu is cover for the right and middle.

Everton’s team looks very defensive and one dimensional. Brentford was the perfect practice run for this one. Hopefully we can apply the lessons learned from the first half and not allow them to spoil the game.

Why?

PEH did well the other night....Sarr has obviously travelled long distance and Agne feels its the right call.
Because there were a lot of posters either looking forward to or presuming Pape would go straight back in, since we've clearly missed him. I'm with you, completely trust Ange's call.

Blimey, look at that Everton midfield!

Frightening, and sad, if you’re an Evertonian

Looking forward to see Maddison release Werner and Johnson in space. Key to winning the game IMO.
