Utterly maddening how we give the ball away and offer clear cut chances every game atm. More than once again.

I think, again, inverting the full-backs is making it too easy for them to press us and we can barely get the ball into their half. Of CBs have no easy passes to make because we've over crowded the middle, and none of the front three are particularly good at holding the ball up.

Sarr should be fit enough for 45 surely? PEH getting pelters but he does do some important defensive work. Bents has just been poor.

Not a great performance so far (again), but we're winning. Need to tighten up second half.

to everyone who was adamant that Bentancur starts ahead of Sarr when he returned from injury, I’m waiting for that apology ;)
I profusely apologise on behalf of everyone here at SC and indeed the wider internet football community.

Need to do something about these corners. Need to put a player in between Vicario and Harrison/whoever is blocking him. Could see that goal coming a mile away.

Love Richy getting a couple of cracking goals and not celebrating out of respect. Hopefully he gets the perfect hattrick.

Bents and PEH are just too slow over the first couple of yards, we’re second or third to everything loose.

Sorry but in my eyes its richarlisons terrible control and hold up play thats causing this, and most of the bad balls are coming from porro/romero.

I don't think that we need more than the one change. Kulu is looking shattered and maybe needs 20 mins only. Not really fair to hook Johnson as he's not really been given the chance to do anything here and isn't where the problem is. We need to get on the ball in the middle.

View attachment 137458 Not a bad idea from Robinson

It’s something we have no choice to work on immediately.

I was saying to my Dad a while ago how well Vicario has done for us, but if there was one chink in his armour is that he’s quite small for a keeper. Although I didn’t expect teams to start employing this tactic.

Agreed. Without biss to beat the press it puts us under pressure makes us so narrow

It's negligence at this stage that no one is standing Infront of vicario to protect him. I can't believe what I'm watching, it ain't fucking rocket science.

So is there rule change so we can just bundle into keepers these days?

I agree he is being impeded however Vic is not helping the situation.

Vic needs to go all out towards the ball and he will get the freekick, he is too passive at the time of the nudges and that is why he isn't getting the calls.

Bill Bryson on everton games is worth a read.
Never understood why they shout the names of 19th century philosophers of metaphysics at their own players (Kant).
I noticed, as I often noticed at English soccer matches, that I was the only person in the stadium enjoying himself. The rest of the spectators, on both sides, were perpetually stressed and dismayed. A man behind me was simply full of despair.

"Now why did he do that?" he would say. "What was he thinking? Why didn't he pass it?"

His companion seemed to have some issues with eighteenth century German metaphysics because he kept saying over and over, "Fucking Kant." I am not quite sure how he was relating this to the actions before us, but every time Everton failed to score, he called them a "load of fucking Kants.

He is unfortunately.

Interestingly I thought he looked great after his long way off.

But its the ankle injury that has taken something out of him.

He isnt really gliding past players or moving into the right areas.

It is certainly putting us under pressure
I’d drop him into the 6 and bring Sarr on!
