Lennon has been excellent. For once our left side has been much more dangerous than our right (and our right hasn't been that bad).
yeah verts has done really well out there today, whos the winger supporting him again?

Hate to say it, but we need the one-two quick-play that the scum have around the box. If we can find that gear the goals will come.

Obviously dominated the game but still not created much, Soldado has been very poor so far in terms of touch, hold up, heading and getting shots off
That would have something to do with our wingers who want to turn back or shoot. If you don't get the ball, you can't do fuck all with it. Time and time again he makes the run and doesn't receive it. His problem is the players around him aren't intelligent enough to see the pass.

I've seen enough of Soldado to know we bought a lemon and to think in January Negredo was available for less than we paid for Soldado. Not his fault though we just busted 26 million pounds on the wrong player.
The guy is not getting any service at all and has almost zero support every game. The poor guys is feeding on scraps and even then there are not that many. The oh what but Defoe... well what a fucking waste of time that is as he will not get any service either, but when he does get it he can't do anything with it.

We just can't cut in the final third, he needs much better service. Lennon off and Lamela or Eriksen on, on that left hand side and actually create something.

I can't deem any half where we fail to score "great." We've seen SO many games in the last 2 years where we've had tons of possession, dominated the game, but ended up not scoring from open play (think Palace, West Ham, Arsenal, Hull, Swansea). Hell, we were the better side against Everton both home and away last season and we won 1 point from 6.

about the only criticism I can level at that half is that our decision making for that final ball has been very poor, all other aspects of our game has been excellent, barring the odd nail biter in defence.

Dawson must be on his last chance before a Yellow, but the biggest decision of the half went Everton's way, definite penalty for me as the defender wasn't near enough to the ball for that to be viewed as a fair challenge.

Hope we keep the intensity up as it looked like Everton were shellshocked through most of that half. Drop the intensity and they'll pose some major problems I think.

I think the only reason we've looked even remotely dangerous down the left is they know he can be afforded a bit of time since he's so ridiculously one-footed. I think he has done poorly with the chances he had so far.

I really like Lennon but he doesn't work on the left.

His run and cross to Soldado (which he headed weakly wide) was a great bit of play and arguably one of our best chancea.

Yeah made me laugh in the oppo fans thread when everyone was praising them. They seem to have more injustices than Liverpool fans.

Ha, they should have had one free kick on baines when they got a throw in anyway apart from that they've had nothing to moan about & he's saved them a pen. Hate fans like that - so uneducated.

Whilst a couple of times he could have done better, we've been completely dominant & every player has played a part in this so we might as well be positive in our comments.
I'm sure the subs will come at 60/70 mins if we still need something. It's not lennon's fault he's being played out of position.
Didn't say it was his fault. But somebody needs to make way for Eriksen/Lamela, and I choose him.

Conversely (and against my better judgemen) I would keep Lennon on and on the left.

Not that he's doing anything particularly special, just that Jan is, so i wouldn't want to upset that... Until it changes.

Just need to swap Holtby for Eriksen, or drop Holtby deeper and replace Paulinho, Holtby may be a work horse but he's a part time play maker, we need a full time playmaker in that #10 spot :)

But that is the only dangerous play in 45 mins. Lennon had a great chance to shoot and completely bottled it.

...just waiting for the commentary that starts: 'Well, it's massively against the run of play, but...'

I'm waiting for the ... "Well, it's massively against the run of play, but... Spurs fans on the matchday thread apprear to actually be overwhelmingly positive and happy about outplaying a top team in front of the home crowd for the vast majority of the half"!!

I thought Lennon did ok? Him and Verts doing well that side, Verts outstanding.
