Well pleased for Woodburn. Cant begin to imagine how fantastic he must feel after that. Love it when things like that happen in football. Bet his mum and dad are literally about to burst with pride. God just imagine your own son doing something like that

Just watched first half of the Spain v Italy game. That was a cracking half of football, have to say a feel a bit for the Italians, although Spain had a lot of ball, the second goal flattered them I thought and Italy actually had some very good moments where they got into good positions in that first half and if they'd had the rub, going in 1-1 wouldn't have been a travesty.

Despite lacking any real uber players (love Veratti though) Italy are still so much better to watch than England, even in game like this.

Just back from the Wales game....we were gash in the first half and Austria could easily have gone in at half time at least 2 up. We had a good 15 mins at the start of the second half and were falling away again when young Woodburn struck. From there on Austria were pushing for an equaliser and left gaps in midfield and at the back and we could have got a second. Bale was strangely subdued and played most of the game with his back to goal and made no runs of note - unfit or carrying an injury?

Really makes the Wales v Ireland game a cruncher.

Come on Wales!

In a clash of the titans in group B, the Faroe Islands beat Andorra 1-0. Surprisingly, neither team are last in the group.

Belgium lack exactly what we do, a truly dynamic all around CM. Hazard helps but not in the same way that an Isco (not necessarily to his level) would to that team or ours. I have no idea why there is such a dearth of this type of player ATM. Very suprised they don't have Youri Tielemans there. They will need this if they are to do anything in the WC. DeBruyne has his respective qualities but he is not this type of player as he doesn't have the close control for the position.

What Belgium truly lack is a coach with a modicum of tactical nous.

Well that goes without saying. My point was that were they to have a player (which they do have) in that position they wouldn't be so easily shut down. BTW someone actually employed Wilmots again.

Belgium look all over the place tactically. So much talent, but so little balance. Currently playing a 3-4-3, with Carrasco at LWB. Most of the time he's a LB, with Fellaini filling the vacated space down the left. The only thing I like is Dembele occupying the holding position, a role I think he could do for us, especially in front of a back three.

Jan just scored a cracker! The only way Belgium were going to break down Greece was from long range.

Greece equalise! Carrasco at LB lost his man in the box. Should never be playing in that position

2-1 to Belgium. They finally decide to cross the ball and Lukaku heads it home

France drawing 0-0 at home to Luxembourg with just over 10 minutes left... Luxembourg just hit the post!
