Can anyone recommend me some good EPL/General Football podcasts out there. I used to listen to Cock on Ball (Spurs one) but that seems to have died now and I am just looking for an all around good footy podcast. Blokes who talk sense and know their shit.

A friend of mine suggested me an NFL one which I have started listening too and it is brilliant but I really need a good football one.

The Guardian's Football Weekly. By far and away the best one out there. I won't be the only one to recommend it.

The spurs show is generally good despite the awful impressions. The fighting cock is ok but has a couple of annoying pricks on.

Football weekly
The game
The Tuesday club with Alan Davies (arsenal but hilarious after they lose and at the moment)

Thought the Martin Jol one was pretty good.

Without a doubt the best one out there. James Richardson hosting and guests who nearly always have something interesting to say.

Ony it was Max Rushden this week as Jimbo's in the US presenting (/competing in) the World's Strongest Man. Quality drops dramatically as soon as he's not there.

Guardian is really good.

I like the BBC's world football phone-in is great too.

I'll also plug World Football Daily based in the US but its a subscription based show. They get some big names to interview (Vickery, Brassel, Winter, Odgen, Martin Tyler, plus a ton of very good bloggers). Its useful if you need a bunch of time to fill since they do 10 hours+ a week. You have to deal with some MLS talk but its mostly European/International.

i noticed this also. it seemed so disorganized.... too bad James Richardson "was being benchpressed by the worlds strongest men" to be able to host it this week.

One day*, someone other than me will post this:

http://bfm.my/lifes-a-pitch-12-september-2011.html

Check weekly at www.bfm.my in the menu at the top of the page for "Thank Friday It's Football" and - especially - "Life's a Pitch" - The radio show/podcast the Guardian wishes it could produce... :shifty:

Follow @MCMattSally @footballBFM or @BFMRadio on Twitter to get updates on when the podcasts are ready to download (usually an hour or two after the show).

*And on that day I will die a happy man.

Does anyone else find Jacob Steinberg unbearable on this? Seriously, how has he landed this gig? He has zero personality and no sense of humour, isn't particularly informative and just comes across as moody. Brings the quality of the whole pod down when he's on it imo

Is he the West Ham fan? He's OK,but he sounds under confident and a bit stumbly.
