"The most blatant handball you'll ever see," said the Tottenham manager, Harry Redknapp.
"I felt he was quite enjoying giving us nothing," he said in his verdict on the official, Chris Foy. "I don't talk about refereeing decisions, never have done in 30 years of management, but I will today. When someone is a yard and a half, two yards onside like [Emmanuel Adebayor] was [at a disallowed goal], how does the linesman not see it?"

I have already emailed the PL demanding an official enquiry into Foys display today. Anyone can make mistakes but from early on I felt he went far beyond that, something was really rotten with his officiating today.

Was thinking the same.
Had this happen in other places - like South America, Asia, Africa, Eastern Europe or even Seri A - there would have been allegations about corruption right away...

I really didn't think that Foy could better his performance for one-eyed, one sided refereeing following his awful display at the QPR v Chelsea game, but fair do's to this particular cretin, he upped his game today.
The thing I haven't quite worked out yet is whether he sides with the home team, or the underdog. Either way, he's a shoe-in for this years' Howard Webb award for complete and utter refereeing crappery.

I can't remember (and I do remember those things) any horrible Foy performances over the years. For the whole ref team to be so bad, in a so one sided way, today, has got to make you wonder.

Of course the game is very fast. Calls are tricky. But they are not supposed to have average perception, they are supposed to be rather better. If all of the players (ours who called it, theirs who looked at the ground and whistled) see handball, how can the ref not.

Ade onside by 2 yards when he scored.

Rugby style tackles in the box.

Does anyone else think it could have been fixed? I accept human fallibility as a part of the game. But systematically, and as a group?

Is there any way of quickly finding out what games Foy has reffed when we have played this season and last season?

Redknapp said ‘He’s not made mistakes because he meant to, he is an honest guy but today I just felt he had a bad day, and so did the linesman who missed Adebayor being two yards onside. He’ll look at it tonight, on TV, when his wife is making him a bacon sandwich and think, “**** me, what have I done?”.’

Very diplomatic Harry. Wonder what he really thinks?

There are millions and millions at stake on these games. I don't know what the refs earn, but it is certainly far far below what the players get.

As I said elsewhere, I wait, with eager anticipation, to see how many games Citeh lose solely on the back of so many incredibly bad decisions.

he just had a horrible, horrible game. If he was a player, he would've been subbed - too bad you cant do that with the refs.

Today honestly made me feel that it is a fix. I did not know whether to laugh or to cry.

Gotta say the thought crossed my mind at the end.

Then I thought about the last truly appalling ref performance: Chelsea and Barca in the CL ...
