According to @BabettevHaaren on Twitter: "Frank de Boer: 'I probably would have said yes if Tottenham had asked me to become their new manager.'"
However, the translation of that Dutch new story above through Google Translate says:
"'It's like a business. It is voted on. Eventually, they have chosen the Argentine Mauricio Pochettino,' says de Boer. But if it had been up to De Boer which had been so different. 'It was pretty close, yes,' said the coach."
Which isn't quite that.
