http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/blogs...s-chant-want-bale-star-paraded-134122852.html

For those of you can't be bothered to read it, in summary, a large group of Real Madrid fans during the unveiling of Asier Illarremendi chanted 'we want Bale' (in Spanish). Just shows how spoiled the fans of that club have become and their club really does simply rely on signing the best talent from around the world. Maybe next they'll sign a petition.

I feel bad for Illarremendi. He signs for one of the biggest clubs in the world, and he gets usurped by chants for a player that is not going to sign anytime soon.

I honestly can't believe that anyone is stupid enough to believe we'd accept that when we have Madrid waiting in the wings - either Moyes is a sadly deluded twat, or the Mirror have run out of stories o tell.......either way it's rather amusing

Couldn't agree more mate. Load of shit but I'm sure that's the start of the Bale to United saga now...given the media don't have the Madrid one at the moment.

Confident it will mean nothing in the end though.

I know its the Mirror but a 60 million United bid is hilarious :ROFLMAO:

It would be over a 100 million to them surely lol

The only comment on the story so far is a good one:

If you're going to pull names out of the hat, at least pull ones out that have even a remote chance of happening. Fabregas isn't going to happen, Bale wont be happening, Ronaldo wont be happening. What next, United launch bid for Messi?

SkyBet are running a market on Bale to stay/go. He's gone up from 1.2 to 1.8 tonight. Very tempted to slap down some money on him to stay.

God love of them...they're hoping Bale will put in a transfer request to help drive the price down :ROFLMAO:

I have no time for the Mirror, Man U or Oliver Holts bullshit article. This article just makes me weep for the state of the press. How can we live in a world where a man (meant in the original sense, ie human being both male and female) can sell false truths to the greater public on nothing more then a guess. Wouldn't bother me so much if it was a guys blog but this is one of the biggest uk newspapers (however it is regarded is irrelevant, people still buy it and let it alter there perspective on the world around them)... The fact the GB is on the cover of the new FIFA game in a spurs shirt should be enough evidence that he is staying here for even the semi football fan. FIFA 13 made over 200 mil world wide from sales, does anyone really think that EA Sports would release 14, the first on next gen, with a player on the cover wearing a shirt for a team that he doesn't play for anymore.... No. If he was in the background, ok, photoshop him, but with the amount of press around the world (times square UA kit unveil included) does anyone with half a brain cell think think he will be at any other club this summer.... No... Use your fucking brain mister Holts. Arrrrgggghhh. .... Sorry for the rant guys, and in no way aimed at mr pink.

Man Utd historically are a massive pull for any British player with the desire to not go abroad but anyone of Bale's stature would be silly even considering them until the whole Moyes thing has had some time. Don't think Bale will be going anywhere as he seems pretty content with his lot right now although the journos would obviously love it.. and will keep spouting their nonsense.

To a certain extent I can understand why they would put a bid in and make it public. Otherwise their fucktard supporters will be whining in a variety of non-mancunian accents about why they didn't at least try.

From a paper that made up pictures of British soldiers torturing Iraqis?? Don't think they'd have too many qualms about running a bullshit football story

sounds to me like utd are just trying to deflect attn. away from the mess they're making over rooney's situation by telling fans, via the press, they're going to sign bale...surely utd fans aren't that stupid to believe that we'll sell bale after knocking Madrid back all summer
