No apparently spoutshite have been ramping this up all day with no quotes or anything in reality.

I think a cabbie told the moose on the way to the chippy.

3 players to replace 1...

You know we can't play with 13 right?

Yeah but we could actually afford them all of a sudden and Soldado we were led to believe was part of the Joe Lewis money.

You would rotate the likes of Chadli and Lennon anyway, They wouldn't be starters. You'd have Sandro, Dembele and Paulinho in a midfield 3.

Speaking purely hypothetically...if we sold Bale and signed Soldado, but no further attacking midfielders or strikers, would you protest in an active way or just moan on here and let it basically slide?

I am quite critical of DL but right now I am glad he is batting for us and I'm looking forward to the first response.

Hopefully something not too dissimilar to this

Jesus I CANNOT BELIEVE that any of you are giving serious credibility to what Talksport are saying!! In terms of journalistic integrity they're on a par with the Daily Sport ffs. I seem to recall them backing Harry Redknapp's QPR to finish ABOVE US in the table last year- theres an indication into the level of journalism being delivered. It's reminiscent of the Modric saga 2 years ago- he didnt go then and Bale wont go now. Next year I expect he probably will if I'm honest but Christ lets not all panic over another non-story from Talksport/Marca/Daily Mail/Mirror or any other gutter press nonsense

We might be able to afford the initial transfer fee for all 3, but no way could we afford the wages of all 3.

Yes we can, the new TV deal will ensure that.

And that's without taking into consideration lost wages like Gallas and Bently

I would moan openly since it means that Levy and co didn't reinvest the money, what I wont do is spam the Spurs twitter with insults. So I guess I'm in the middle of the two options.

With Soldado we've spent about £45 million. If we sell Bale we will get £80+ million leaving them with £35+ million in profit on transfers just from the sale of Bale. That would be an insult to the fans, AVB and the squad as they (Lewis/Levy) claim that they want to bring us up to the next level.

I'm not that angered by the possibility of selling Bale, I want him to stay but I also understand his will to play for one of the largest teams in the world (if that is actually what he wants). But if we do sell him then they better fucking splash that cash on the squad and nothing else.

Probably just whinge on here. What good would a protest do? It would seem a bit petty considering the crap other clubs have had to swallow (Pompey, Wimbledon, Blackburn, Coventry)

Damn you Levy, signing a £30m striker, a £17m midfielder and putting money aside for a stadium where finance wouldn't be cheap; damn you to hell?

Really don't know what I'd do to be honest as I don't see how protesting in an active way would help matters, especially in the short term.

Yeah, I didn't mean that! I can't imagine anyone who'd do that is mentally all there...

Fair enough. I'm not advocating it necessarily, just testing the waters to see what people think.

Well, on a personal level and because I am really pissed off with Sky, today, after 14 years and 7 months (the guy on the phone told me) I cancelled my subscription! He asked me why and I told him. He transferred me to his supervisor and I told him as well. He said that disliking Sky Sports and cancelling the contract just because of the Bale coverage was silly!!!!! I told him to get on with his fcuking job, put it on his reasons why report and stuff their sports chanels up their arse! Feel much better. My good lady wife, who just looked at me in astonishment during the whole thing said, 'boy, you must be some pissed off'! I like watching the football, What are we gonna do now?' (Go to pub) (y)

Suarez, Soldado and Rooney????

To be be honest I'd be more excited if we signed this creation kid than Rooney! We need to just go out and buy the very best kids in the world like we did with Bale then develop them IMO

This is not ITK but I saw this tweet and to me it shed some light on why Bale might move this summer.

the Trunk
@tehTrunk: Stellar Group only representing Bale for one more season. Clear why theyre so eager to push through a mega deal now.

Is he a new super hero i'm unaware of?

Your right though, Rooney does nothing for me as a footballer. (but does slightly more for me than Di Maria)

If that is the case, we could see a spectacular series of events which would even make Marca's stuff seem believable...
