Sorry i didnt make my point very well - i completely agree with you. I meant to say if we had a £70m net spend at the end of the window i'd be amazed that we didnt spend more in January. Then again I know full well that big £30m signings beyond soldado are dependent on Bale money.

The only club in the prem who would go for Bale realistically is Manchester United and that fills me with more dread than any other club. Bale to United, Rooney to Chelsea... argh.

We're not selling him to a club in England. Levy would price him at something ridiculous like 120m for other English clubs and would Bale even want to leave if it was just to stay in England? It seems like he is more interested in other leagues rather than having a burning desire to leave Spurs.

AVB said earlier in the summer that he has a nice relationship with their owners and they have all the money in the world. There's less chance that Bale would consider them but it would make Perez wee himself a little bit at the thought of missing out.
