Call me cynical, which you probably will, but... is it just me, or does anyone else think that maybe, just maybe, this whole Gareth Bale to MAD-rid story is just one big betting scam.
Reason for asking is that most of what's going on is heavily linked to SKY... allow me to further incriminate myself lol.
Aside from a plethora of tv channels, BSKYB also own SKY SPORTS NEWS... and SKY BET, On top of which, they are in association with TalkSport... the radio station that broke the "Bale told AVB he wants to leave" exclusive last week.
Having been instigated very loosely by TalkSPort (i.e, "we understand... that Bale has said etc"), the exclusive story has been "reported"... and once reported by TalkSport, SSN are then able to break their own story, it has been reported that ... and so it goes on.
It makes me think this way as aside from the quotes that Bale wants out... which i don't think he does, they also inform readers / viewers / listeners what the current odds of Bale leaving spurs are.
Then of course once reported on radio and tv, news corp and other associated press papers can get in on the action to further push the hype wagon along... safe in the knowledge that nuggets love a flutter.
Anyone.......?
