They just had it on Sky news. Not sure as the details seemed sketchy but he might have been pissed up? Anyone heard anything about it?

Released on bail after being arrested on suspicion of common assault & being drunk & disorderly according to SSN.

What happened to the rehab ? We'll be placing flowers and scarves at the Lane soon if someone who actually cares about his wellbeing doesn't get hold of him. Such a shame.

There's only so much other people can do and it's not like people haven't tried. He's a had a great deal more support and chances in rehab as a public figure than regular people fighting addiction will ever have. The last hurdle is his and his alone....and sadly it's now more apparent than ever that he just doesn't have the will or strength of personality to jump it.

It will be a sad day when Gazza passes, but with each relapse its seeming more and more inevitable.

I agree with everything you say but I just find it hard to comprehend how it got this far that's all. Of all his family, friends & the fame seekers and not one seems to have stood by him through the real hard times. It s his choice I agree, but its easier to walk away from a clinic/doctor when there's no one there to help guide you when you need it most.

People have stood by him though. His ex wife has been there on and off throughout, and why should she be? He beat her and treated her like shit. Yet still she tries to help. It's worth checking out the documentary "Surviving Gazza". You'll see that it's not true that people haven't tried to help and stand by him. But, like I say, you can only do so much. If he is determined not a live a life of sobriety what can others do? He's an adult and he has the right to drink himself to death if he so chooses. They cannot force him to do otherwise if he doesn't want to enough, and it seems he just doesn't want it as much as others who have recovered. He'd rather lock himself away for days on end and drink and drink and drink.

Imo, he will be dead by the end of the year.

Hate to say something like that but we all know he'll be gone sooner rather than later.

He's done, unfortunately. Nothing he can do now, if all the tries before prove anything.

Will be no flowers or scarves from me that's for sure. The blokes a prat with the will power of a 5yr old.

Don't get me wrong, I love a pint a but booze is one of the most destructive drugs known to man. We have a really serious problem with it in this country.

How many countries do you now that have a national trait of doing heroin or crack or some thing? If you look at the number of people that die each year because of booze it's staggering.

Surely this shouldn't be in Spurs chat. Yes the man is a Spurs legend but is surely more worthy of a thread in Chat. Also I've stopped feeling sorry for Gazza, the guy has been given so many chances to turn his life around, so many chances that many alcoholics never get, but is determined to kill himself.
