There's only so much other people can do and it's not like people haven't tried. He's a had a great deal more support and chances in rehab as a public figure than regular people fighting addiction will ever have. The last hurdle is his and his alone....and sadly it's now more apparent than ever that he just doesn't have the will or strength of personality to jump it.Released on bail after being arrested on suspicion of common assault & being drunk & disorderly according to SSN.
What happened to the rehab ? We'll be placing flowers and scarves at the Lane soon if someone who actually cares about his wellbeing doesn't get hold of him. Such a shame.

It will be a sad day when Gazza passes, but with each relapse its seeming more and more inevitable.
People have stood by him though. His ex wife has been there on and off throughout, and why should she be? He beat her and treated her like shit. Yet still she tries to help. It's worth checking out the documentary "Surviving Gazza". You'll see that it's not true that people haven't tried to help and stand by him. But, like I say, you can only do so much. If he is determined not a live a life of sobriety what can others do? He's an adult and he has the right to drink himself to death if he so chooses. They cannot force him to do otherwise if he doesn't want to enough, and it seems he just doesn't want it as much as others who have recovered. He'd rather lock himself away for days on end and drink and drink and drink.I agree with everything you say but I just find it hard to comprehend how it got this far that's all. Of all his family, friends & the fame seekers and not one seems to have stood by him through the real hard times. It s his choice I agree, but its easier to walk away from a clinic/doctor when there's no one there to help guide you when you need it most.
