So seems Laporte to City is edging closer. What a joke that club are. A very good ball playing defender.
Great news considering they were linked with Toby.

Were they?
Genuine question, why would they feel any pressure at all?Laporte to City
Mkhitaryan and it looks like Aubameyang and Evans to Arsenal
VVD to Liverpool
Sanchez to United
Dzeko and Emerson to Chelsea
No pressure, transfer committee

Some of those are self created ...Because all our rivals are taking measures to address the weaknesses in their squads, and as yet we have done nothing to address ours. And we need to finish above at least 2 of our rivals.

I really wouldn’t put it past City to come back in for Toby end of the season regardless of who they buy now. Especially if Toby still hasn’t signed a new contract. Also Laporte is left footed and tends to play on the left side apposed to Toby who plays on the right. I could very much see Pepe wanting to pair the two.Great news considering they were linked with Toby.

No Dortmund keep rejecting arsenals bids. They know they are desperate so will hold them to ransom. Good on them. Hope they get fleeced or Wenger shits the bedGod I hope Aubameyang doesn't go to Arsenal. Not necessarily because he'll solve their problems, but the fans would absolutely lose their shit.
Giroud's Mrs holding up the deal now?

When have Spurs ever genuinely gotten the cheque book out in the Jan. Transfer window?
The fact we are in 5th and amongst it with three big league games coming up is more a sign of how well we are doing. The fact they are having to spend in Jan. might tell you more about them.
When we were in relegation trouble we dropped an absolute fortune in January. But even discounting that, even if we hadn't done it before, doesn't mean we shouldn't now. We are in a ridiculously important battle for top 4, going into the new stadium in the Europa League is not part of the master plan.
I don't agree with your assessment that we should look at how well we're doing. With NWHL on the horizon, now is the time to be bold, not to pat ourselves on the back and criticise others for their signings.
So basically you disagree with the transfer policy that's existed for how long? When we were in relegation trouble we dropped an absolute fortune in January. Problem is that it is much easier to buy players of the quality and position required when you are in a relegation battle compared to our current position.
Indeed, but I don't believe that means we can't sign players in this window. We have never been richer compared to clubs in other leagues.

I'm happy to look at how well we're doing, and I also think it reflects on those around us having to spend big again. IMHO if this is what we're doing now then in regards to transfers then future is bright.
