Where are Athletico getting £8m from? They are skint and still owe money for Falcao, maybe we are taking him to cure their debts and providing them with a replacement at the same time?

Probably the same place they got the money for Falcao - 3rd party ownership deal.

Love this quote from GDS 'Tottenham have always tried to sell me for double the price that they paid for me.'

Classic Levy.

Shame really, the lad obviously has/had talent, IMO has never been close to showing his capability for us.

Good fee, good bye gio!

I know we always say this time could be his chance, but with AVB coming in with his 433 system, this really could be a good chance for Gio, especially as he likes his RW to cut in.

Yup.

If the fee and clauses that Levy is prepared to accept isn't on the table at the moment, let Gio have a pre-season with AVB to see if our new coach thinks he's got a role to play as one of the wide AMs in his 4-3-3 system.

If AVB has a good look in pre-season and decides it's not going to happen for Gio at Spurs, then we've still got August to sell.

The wildcard may be that Gio is linked to "Super Agent" Pini Zahavi, and so I believe are other targets of ours, such as Oscar.

Agents like to get paid.

At least let him have some playing time in the pre-season friendlies to test his mettles.
