Will we ever get a new GK coach ?

Not heard any news on this but while we're linked with every GK under the sun surely it makes sense to sign the GK coach first.

Good point! Desperately need a good keeper coach.
Was watching Premier league world and saw how coaches and qualified people can help uplift and encourage better performance for Goalies.
James needed help not only in goalkeeping training but with focus, concentration and mental management. He says this has hugely contributed in him eliminating mistakes.
Sure this would help Robbo too.

I'm guessing we'll get a coach that the future goalie wants and who he thinks will improve him the best.

James is agile and athletic, his concentration was his problem. Robbo, ain't agile or athletic, so it don't matter who coaches him, he still will be a massive liability.

Bollocks! Robbo was agile and made some fantastic saves in past when he was wrong footed England Wales springs to mind.

He was also arguably the best (if not, easily in the top 3) keepers in the league for a number of years. Everyone on this forum was hugely happy when he signed his 7 year deal.

Since the world cup, he's gone downhill dramatically, but is nowhere near shite people make him out to be and show no loyalty to what he acheived prior to that.

Robbo was one of the best - no doubt. Just as there can be no doubt that over the last couple of years he's lost it. I suspect that he'll need a fresh start at a new club to regain form.

But do we appoint a goalie before the coach or the coach before the goalie?

It really is lax that we lack such an important coch
