...Anyone do it?

Most of my mates are either Rugby fans, non football fans or part time Arsenal/Chelsea fans. So if im going to go to more games im going to need to go on my own.

Any one do it? Not sure what the experience is like going on your own. As most games ive been to there have always been a few of us for pre and post beers and banter during the game.

I did it last night. I think it's difficult to get any number of tickets sat next to each other anyway (someone else might be able to say this is rubbish, I've never tried...)

I met up with a few friends pre-game for drinks and was going to go into the Bell & Hare post-match but bottled it, it looked a bit too packed in there for me.

Yes and generally I prefer it. You can talk to randoms or if you are bricking it and getting nervous, which is part of the course with Spurs, it's better than having someone in your earhole.

I travel to games on my own, meet a few mates before the game and jump on whoever's next to me when we score.

Your not wrong about having people in your ear...me and my mate were surrounded by some right bell end's last night

I was a bit worried about going on my own, but I've found the people I've ended up sat next to have been top notch and don't mind chatting to some random Welsh nobhead (namely me) which is nice.

Some guy realising my accent last night joked to his mate loudly as we were leaving "the only problem with Gareth Bale is he's Welsh!" which I laughed at and said "hold on now!" - it's all part of the fun of watching Spurs. The fans are top notch.

Agree, lived in London the last three seasons and apart from one SC "trip" I've always gone alone. I just prefer it that way.

Sat on my own last year as first year ST holder, but now back with the lads for banterifficness.

Last year was a bit odd sitting on my own and although you do make friends, there's nothing like going with your mates IMO.

But nothing wrong with going on your own and I did it many times - especially Boxing Day. Great excuse to get out of the family stuff.

I've spent so many years watching us by myself in a Pub (no Spurs supporting family or friends) that I find it quite difficult when I actually make it to a game to get on with a gang of people. I've sort of learnt to deal with disappointments internally and to keep my thoughts to myself so that i can't take the people who are vociferously critical, or just completely one-sided. It makes me go into a shell.

I guess that makes me part of the new breed who actually quite like being pub/armchair supporters. Though I'm glad most supporters aren't like that; imagine WHL full of me's! It would be quieter than at the Emirates!

I used to do it quite a lot and still tend to sit on my own at most matches. Meet up with the lads before and after the game. I like it like that tbh.

I'm a member and I normally go on my own, but meet season ticket-owning mates before/after the match. Quite like it, although you can sometimes get stuck next to people who feel the need to tell you every single thing they've ever thought about Spurs. Although maybe I'm just a grumpy bastard.

I go to 80% with my Dad, but unless there are 2 together in E, F, 4 or 5, we happily sacrifice that for a good view. And I quite happily kiss stangers if we score....

Way back in the early seventies I was really into going to as many Spurs matches as possible, back in the days before pre-booking my mates and I would either go together or just turn up knowing where exactly we would be in the ground, in those times you could pay on entry at the Paxton, Park Lane or Shelf and have a wander about during the game or at half time if you wanted to be behind the goal Spurs were kicking into.

I went to a lot of long distance games on my own back then, on the old football specials - I kinda knew a lot of the lads that went - not very well but well enough to talk to.

I must have been mad really - just out of school - only 16 and jumping on a train to Manchester, Liverpool or other towns and cities where the streets and terraces could be dangerous. I wouldn't want a kid of mine doing it nowadays.

Always go on my own.

Living in the North West of England I have no Spurs supporting familyor friends. The only games I get to go to anyway are the ones up here, but it doesn't bother me

I've been to a fair few on my own, I don't mind it to be honest. Like mattyspurs says when you are a Spurs fan living in the north west of england you haven't got much choice if you want to see your team live.

Cheers for all the replies. Going to have to sit down and book some games once i work out when im not working out the country or having other things on.

Ideally id like to hit 10 home games a season...but we shall see.

I spent alot of time working in london and hertfordshire last season, living in hotels. Watching spurs was the perfect opportunity to get out and about, especially for the night games, even if i was on my own. There's only so much touching of one's self in a hotel room that a single mind can take.

Being from the north west i never really had spurs on my doorstep so i felt i had to exploit the opportunity as much as i could. Bloody miss it now though.

I go with my brother and dad and sometimes some mates if i can get them tickets. I would go on my own if it came to it, would rather not though.
