My summary of Heurelho Gomes,

From the sublime to the ridiculous and sometimes displaying both characteristics in the same game.

On the one hand he often made the difficult stuff look easy (some fantastic reflex saves that earned us a few points or kept us in games). On the other hand he often made the easy and apparently straightforward stuff look difficult. (On too many occasions he contrived to let harmless shots slip through his fingers, and made a mess of the basics, corners and crosses, leading to us conceding soft goals and dropping points).

As for Alan Hansen and Mark Lawrenson ridiculing him as a clown, it's a bit rich, they had a keeper just as capable of the sublime and ridiculous just like Gomes,I.e Bruce Grobelaar. In many ways Gomes reminded me of Grobelaar on the field.

I think he may end up at hoffenheim as he was brilliant there

We should give PSV Gomes for free in exchange for an exclusive release clause for Adam Maher and Jetro Willems :)

He played well yesterday despite the worst possible conditions for a keeper. He's got skills he just needs to go somewhere so that he can become someone's #1 again.

Think it would do him wonders to go back to PSV. Lovely club, and they adore him over there. Would do him the world of good. Actually seen a game at their ground back when they had the likes of Cocu, van Bommel, Hesselink and others. That was a quality squad.

Still no movement on Gomes? Would like to see us bring in a British 3rd keeper to make up the numbers for quota.

If Gomes goes then we already have a british 3rd choice in Archer, Scotland U21 keeper (so international, sort of!!!) - PS I didn't see the 6 goals Eng U21s put past the Scots so don't know if he was at fault. and for what its worth I still like Gomes always have and think its a real shame he'll just be remembered at spurs for his gaffs. Made some truly world class saves in his time in the first team too

I agree with this, and in fact I think the focus of the coaches should actually be to develop Archer into an adequate back up option to Lloris by the end of the season, which obviously take work but is very do-able, especially if Freidel helps with the coaching
