I have no sympathy for Grant. I still remember his ungracious comments when we beat them in the CC Final.

I'm sure he'll be disconsolate with his multi-million pound pay-off...

Peter Kenyon, David Dein and Rupert Murdoch...

the triangle of ****s.

:) I actually don't dislike Dein apart from his obvious Arsenal connections. He seems like he is/was really into the club and that's what you need at board level. Kenyon's just a big fucking ****.

Yep, he was a massively ungracious **** and i lost a lot of respect for him after that, but i reckon he watched that interview of himself and learnt from it. He's been much better since and i do feel a tiny bit sorry for him in footballing terms but you're right about the pay off, don't have too much sympathy there.

Mugs - but its funny for sure.

Yeh, clubs that treat their managers like shit. Pots and kettles come to mind. At least they`ve done it straight away. Everybody knows where they are. None of that panicking 10 games into the season shit.

You sound like you want them to do well.. :-|

Nope, but the Premiership has no doubt become slightly more dull without Mourinho's taunting of Benitez and Ferguson.

And who can forget his missing dog?

Also, if I remember right, he tipped us for a top 4 finish this season.

My guess then is Mourinho to Inter

and

Reikhaard to Chelsea.

Grant will fade.

my favourite was when he was asked if he was feeling the pressure from the title race to which he replied

"For me, pressure is bird flu - I'm serious,"

yeah i wouldnt of minded him being our manager as for Avram Grant we should all be thankful his ineptitude helped us pick up a trophy and another year in europe cheers!

Whilst Grant has had a decent season I see the logic behind his departure.

You're a professional footballer, you're approached by the top four clubs in the Premiership. You have the choice to work for Sir Alex Fergusson, Rafa Benitez, Arsene Wenger or... Avram Grant...

Reputation and achievements of the club managers has a big part to play in signing players. Players want to go to a club with a high profile successful manager and for the club the size of Chelsea, with the money they have, they really need a manager who attracts players and Grant isn't that man.

It's a joke. If I were speaking as a neutral, I'd say he should never have been appointed inthe first place. As a Spurs fan, I like to see Chelsea doing stupid things. Imagine if they'd appointed a manager with real talent.

As it is, there's still the possibility of Drogba leaving, along with Fat Frank, and I feel that Roman's tinkering will destablise the squad even further. There was an 'article' (and I use the term loosely) about Anelka complaining about being forced to take a penalty in the CL final, when he didn't want to.

Chelsea seem to be entering a period of turmoil and it warms my heart to see it. A) Because it's Chelsea; and B) Because anything that causes problems for that billionaire bastard (Abramovich) is alright by me.

It seems to me that Chelsea's potential woes stem from this supposed 'messiah'. He may have helped them to two titles, but the house of cards seems to be wobbling. And the same sort of thing is happening at Man City. And at Liverpool. And it happened with Hearts (I think) with their billionaire owner.

I hate to bang my drum again, but this is why the Premiership needs to be radically altered in terms of the money that sloshes around it. There has to be regulation and rules in place, so we don't have the likes of Abramovich and Shiniwatra coming in and sending shockwaves throughout English football. UEFA and the FA have rules in place for managers, referees, players, even the obnoxious agents, yet there is nothing preventing the most powerful position at a football club being filled by an individual who treats it as his personal plaything.

I'm sorry to take the thread off-topic, but I do feel very strongly about this.

Anyone have Grants stats for this season?

Didnt he only loose 3 games after taking over? Against Man Utd, us and (insert club of choice).....?

As much as i hate Chelsea, i liked Avram Grant. It was a strange appointment anyway, grant probably new it was just a short term thing, but Chelsea being Chelsea, there never upfront with anything.

 Absolutely. It's great to see the chavscum so wound up and especially all that money down the tubes. However, Chelsea were beaten in all 3 competitions by the better team (COYS), but they did come second. The trophy less Gooners at Cash Burden didn't even get that close. Please, make my season do a chavscum and get rid of Whinger. They'd be able to sell that restricted view seat that he occupies as well. With Grant now gone Whinger is now the Mr humour champion in the Premiership once more.
