His loans have been really impressive, when you look at some more 'fancied' players who seem to go out on loan and never play, the fact he has gone out to two clubs in totally different situations and instantly nailed down a first team place is exciting.

Seems like an incredibly versatile player (he's played some RB/CM/AM/RW in the past/presently) with a lot of solid attributes. From everything I've heard, he sounds like a good player to have in a squad that is hoping to challenge in multiple competitions.

I'd hope we would give him every opportunity to thrive here before we explore the idea of moving him permanently.

he'd been injured, had an operation on his foot, and joined Chicago to play through the summer and regain fitness.

Looks like he did really well over there, too.
