I suspect the agents are digging in because they've already been paid an installment on their brown envelope deal.
If Barcelona want to sell to Spurs and if it's true the player wants to sign for Spurs then the fact that the agents are refusing to deal with Spurs and effectively forcing him to go where they want needs to be investigated.
The authorities will have to become involved and I suspect I know someone who will involve them.

I want us to wade in and get this done regardless. It's all well and good coming out with clean hands smelling of roses, but al too often "clean hands" means "empty hands"...

Let’s hope this is who we were really after in the Barca talks!

Yes please, if we can't get Ilaix then Puig would be another with similar potential. He's very small for the league but we have seen similar size players do well and he has tenacity. Always looking for the ball, progressive passer, just need to be more influential in the final third but he's still young.

Sounds like we may have forced Leipzig's hand here and once they decided to offer a similar bid to ours now rather than waiting for him to run down his contract, there was only going to be one winner due to the agent.

Oh well, not heartbroken about this one tbh.

Barça can now invite Tottenham to a nice dinner. Thanks to Spurs' appearance, Leipzig have not only conceded but even agreed to let FCB keep 10% of a future sale, as @albert_roge reports ?.

I wonder if this allowed us to get Emerson for cheaper or convinced them to agree to our bid
