Of course a penalty is awarded for an offence pretty much identical to the one we didn't get.

This just makes England not getting a penalty yesterday look even more ridiculous.

These pens at corners look very soft to me, must have been another FIFA directive to the refs

Can't help but feel like anything to give Messi a chance at winning. It is a penalty, but there is no consistency at all and that is clear as day at the start of day 3 already.

KSA looks better than Qatar and Iran and they're supposed to be the bottom Asian team.

Yepp, feels like they are doing it as a power move as well.

My guess would be that it will be a new directive that goes a bit overboard, and after a couple more pens from corners in the opening games they will then revert back to normal.

Incredible number of offsides in this. I want to see the graphics for the Lautaro one.

Yeah - the Maguire one was twice as bad as both the Argentina and the Iran ones too.

I actually thought the Argentina one was a wee bit soft as he wasn't really grappling him and the player went down quite early. In comparison Maguire was full on rugby tackled.

Obviously, Defoe's been training Argentina how not to break an offside trap

See I like this offside technology. It's much quicker and gets the job done.
