I coach my daughter’s U11 team in the Eastern Suburbs in Sydney. Before Sunday my daughter was the only player at the club that I have seen wear a Spurs shirt at training.

On Sunday I helped out at the boy’s U10 trials. There were about 70 boys and about half of them wore the club shirts. Of the remainder there was a great variety of club shirts. Barcelona was the most common – 5 boys were wearing them but the great surprise was Spurs was second and worn by 3 boys – with 2 having a player’s name – Bale & Van der Vaart. All shirts were new as they had either of the current sponsors.

There were many other usual club shirts worn by 1 or 2 boys including ManU, Liverpool, Chelsea, Real Madrid, Roma, Juventus and Sydney FC.

I believe that our attacking focus and attractive style of play is bringing a whole new generation of fans to our club.

I would presume this phenomenon may also be taking place across Asia as well. It augurs well for our club to join the world elite.

PaddoSpurs, what you're experiencing in your neck of the woods I'm also enjoying here in Guatemala/Central America. Thanks to our participation in the Champions League, particularly the two Inter games, Spurs are now becoming popular over here. Of course it also helps to have Wilson in the team/squad as he's from neighbouring Honduras but gone are the days when NO-ONE in this region had ever heard of us and now I get many friends and colleagues talking about Gareth Bale, VDV and Luka Modric, Crouchie and Defoe also.
Long may it continue.

Long may it continue! I tried to get my godson in Columbia to wear the Tottenham shirt I sent him but I'm told by his dad that his Torres Chelsea shirt is now glued to him (figuratively speaking...)

This is good news. I'm a Bondi boy and when I was growing up there were very few Spurs fans around. Now I live in Bromley and there's loads around here but what you've observed just goes to show how much we need to keep progressing so we can hold onto Bale,VDV and Modric.

Quite a few of my cousins' friends here are gradually getting into football and all know about Gareth Bale. He's not even our best player and he's becoming a global mega star. It's a shame he's ugly or he could be the next Beckham!

Walk down St Kilda in Melbourne on a sunny day, plenty of Spurs shirts all over. When I moved here I was shocked how many Spurs fans there are here.

Speaking to Australians, they really understand the game and apreciate good football, there are many people who I know who have watched 1 Spurs game and been converted instantly.

Generally they don't want to choose United or Chelsea, because they are not glory hunters, they see Spurs as the next best thing

My girls wear their spurs shirts with pride but we are not in the Eastern Suburbs anymore as we moved South in Sydney so we are spreading the love further out.
My 11 year old had a bet with one of her teachers that if we beat Liverpool he had to wear a spurs shirt for the day and vica versa if he won. It was very funny to see a new yid when i picked her up!! We are getting much more interest over here and its amazing what the CL and Bale has done to our profile! I even saw the trolley picker upperer at the supermarket last weeekend wearing a spurs shirt!!I shouted COYS to him and he didn't have a clue, so i gesticulated to kiss the badge and he kinda got it and kinda thought i was mental!
Have i mentioned yet that i'm flying back for the 2nd leg at the Lane.....

I teach and coach in Sydney. Many of our kids are of Italian and Croatian background and are very aware of what Tottenham have been doing. To me their interest in Spurs is helped by the excellent Foxtel coverage we have here. Aussie kids get to see all EPL matches live if they want to. ESPN and SBS show the ECL and Setanta shows the FA Cup. All this adds up plenty of exposure in a season where we are playing and beating the best. Spurs shirts have even reappeared in our main sports chain store Rebel Sports. As we all said many times on here youngsters are impressionable in the 10-15 age group and often 'choose' a prominant side in a particular year. This is our time. As well as all that, I've spent the last 15 years at the school preaching Tottenham to anyone who will listen:grin:

I've been a Spurs fan in Malaysia since 1991 and until December 2010, I've seen around 5 people wearing Spurs jerseys in Kuala Lumpur all my life.

This year I've seen around 7-10 kids/adults wearing our jersey. Long may it continue.

Quite a few Spurs shirts these days at Coomera Soccer Club, at the North end of the Gold Coast in QLD....unfortunately just as many Gooners...the banter is excellent though!!

Also seen a fair few shirts at the Gold Coast United Games...followed by chants of Yidd-ooh!!
Long may it continue... Would really love to see the boys over here in a pre season friendly like Fulham and Everton in last couple of years (amongst others)!!! COYS
